It's only perfect if you swap out for a better trigger.

Sure they do
I guess i would like a 17, but I certainly wouldnt spend more than $400 on it
I honestly don't understand why anyone would buy a Glock when the FNS exists. It's like a Glock on steroids, it's everything that gen 4 should have been but wasn't. FNS beats the Glock in every way possible.
>>32395286
More FN goodness.

That was an FNX 45, happened years ago, and only to one guy. FN identified the issue and fixed it. I'd rather a squishy squishy than a glocknade.

>>32395286
I've owned like 6 different Glocks, 2 had issues. Overall they're pretty solid though. What I don't like is that I can wiggle the front of the slide a little bit and the barrel too. That shit should be locked tight IMO. Then again it isn't a realistic factor in accuracy and the fun was reliable.
Glocks are great but not perfect.
>>32399350
>probably the worst guns Delta Force has ever used
i really enjoy the delusions people have against glocks.
if its so horrible, why do the majority of competition shooters use only glocks?
if its so horrible why do several countries issue it to troops and police?
if its so horrible why is there such a huge fan base and more after-market than any other handgun?
a simple snide answer can not refute glocks dominance in the industry as a leader in some of the most well made mass produced handguns.
yes sig sauer is amazing, i owned a p220 elite scorpion, i loved it. yes the FNS is nice, the FNX is nicer, yes HK makes great guns, but they all remain mostly stock, they arent good for competition (minus sig), and most of them are very heavy like most HK or sig handguns without polymer frames.
you can not deny or refute the greatness of glock.
>>32395286
That's pretty nice, but it does not look like a SiG Neuhausen 44-16...

they have an aftermarket because people hate the stock features.
>>32395286
Y'all missing the big picture here! Candle Jack can get you now without havi
>>32399638
>people hate the stock features
The only bad things about a Glock as it comes in the box are
1. the tiny, nearly-unusable slide release
2. the cheap plastic sights
3. the serrated """target""" trigger on the compacts and subcompacts
>>32399518

I had an FNX-45, can confirm this happens on a 80+ degree day (Or 70+ if left in sun long enough). Although I never had any issues with mine, or a single failure. I mostly worried about dropping and inserting mags.
When I installed my Talon Grips, which need to be heated to about 100 degrees, I freaked the fuck out when I picked it up because I thought I melted it beyond repair. I came to learn it was just normal
hey so how bout them beretters
>>32399562
>if its so horrible, why do the majority of competition shooters use only glocks?
False. No gun is used by a majority of competition shooters.
And the Glocks that are used are customized to the point where they aren't even really Glocks anymore.
>if its so horrible why do several countries issue it to troops and police?
Because an officer can buy one himself for $398, and big contracts would obviously get them for cheaper.
>if its so horrible why is there such a huge fan base and more after-market than any other handgun?
Group-think wanna-be operators who cannot understand the first two points, and like to attach their ego to a corporate brand name.
>you can not deny or refute the greatness of glock.
Anti-thought detected.
>>32399867
The Px4 is legit, pay no mind to the people who repeat the anecdote about the Canadian border cops that showed up to a pistol class with mallets to unfuck their Px4s when they predictably locked up every 300-500 rounds.
>>32399220
thats a feature not a defect, it wont shatter like other polymer frames.
>>32399375

why would you buy a new gun while consciously knowing that you'd need to spend more money on these things?
>aftermarket
>literally have different model for different purposes
>can round up your entire handgun shooting to glocks exclusively
>19 for duty
>19 for conceal carry
>26 for backup

>glock 19 is the most size efficient and thinnest 15+1 9mm
>no bullshit design, can take it apart with a single punch and nothing else, no mallet nothing
The majority of /k/ hates on Glock because they're enthusiasts that hate on in it in an effort to buy something that "isn't like the other pistols" like some dumb shit such as a steyr, fns9 or whatever.
For someone who collects guns and rarely shoots, Glocks may not be what they want. But for people who are serious about shooting, it's fucking hard to beat.
reminder that 4shit is mostly contrarian
>>32399966
Have you not used grip tape/skateboard tape? Regardless how effective the grip texture is, grip tape provides FAR better friction which is much appreciated on such a big gun. I'm in the Jerry Miculek school of "Put that shit on everything"

Good thinking, posting the version with the plastic thing that keeps the gun from horribly burning your hand after one magazine.
only reason I bought a glock because what other cheaper option is there to shoot my special meme calibers like 9X25 dillion and 460 rowland. 90% of people who praise glawks cause they are good cheap have probably $300-$400 in aftermarket parts to make it "perfect" Like those pyramid triggers that start @ $140...
>>32395286
OP here sorry wrong pic
>>32399123
I'd only buy a glock if it was cheap as shit. Otherwise it's an ugly as sin gun, no greater capacity than other handguns, no greater ergonomics than other handguns, not more reliable than other handguns, no safety,
>>32405127
Found the guy that's never shot one. It take several mag dumps to get a P7 PSP too hot to touch.
>>32405171
Most here don't really care about having a safety. I agree with the ugly and all that but you also have to understand that it is no worse than it's counterparts in the same price range.
But as far as reliability goes you're pretty far off. They're not perfect but they do have a lot lower of a failure rate and unless you have the .380 and using hollows you probably won't have any stovepipes.

Two of which are ubiquity and ease of armorer-level maintenance, neither of which apply to a new design that appears to be held together with roll pins.

>>32405336
I am hopeful for this pistol. Saw a listing price on a website for the FDE version at $481.
>>32405385

>>32405158
Is that a full-length slide on a Commander frame?
>>32399958
I can't believe this is still a thing after all these years....
>>32404114
Glocks don't come in FDE reliably enough to waste your time waiting for them.
Sold my G19 for a S&W 66-1. Figured I can always get another Glock. Now that CZ has a striker polymer compact, at a lower price point, I'm leaning towards the P-10.
If new Glocks were $500 I wouldn't even consider the CZ. Will Glock adjust their price range in the face of more competition, or will they just ride it out, content their brand will carry them?
>>32407968
They just won that big FBI contract, and USSOCOM has adopted the 19 across the board, so the odds of Glock starting to give a fuck are at an all-time low.
>>32395618
Fucking this.
Good pistols, but definitely not worth more than $400.

Looking to get a CCW soon. I would get an FNS if the grip was a little shorter like a Glock 19. As a 5'5" man, that extra bit makes a difference in the ability to conceal it. I would opt for the compact, but I absolutely despite pistols that require a magazine extension for a full grip.
>>32409616
And that's why the 19 sells so well: it's exactly large enough to get a full grip on, and no larger.
It baffles me why no one else makes a gun that size, choosing instead to go from Full Size Service Pistol straight down to Slightly Too Big For Pocket Carry.
Practically no one makes a direct Glock 19 competitor.
>>32408239
>>He thinks he needs hollowpoint in a 45.
Not him, but as someone who almost exclusively shoots.45, you're fucking retarded
Just picked up a Glock 26 as my CC. Never thought I'd become a glock sucker but damn if the one I got to shoot wasn't nice. Sounds really good racking her as an added bonus.
