I'd rather have an akm than a vepr based on weight alone personally. I don't need an 18mm super-thick rpk barrel and heavy 1.5mm receiver just to plink around.
And ideally, it'd be an sgl/slr because I want modern ak features like the 74 style brake. And I'm not sold 100% on ak folding stocks even though I have some, the sling positions are really crap on them compared to fixed stocks IMO. I think I'd still go with one just because I like to have all the neat features.

I didn't buy it all overnight. It's been years in the making. I've never really been a bargain hunter either. I want what I want, and I'll be damned if I'm going to buy a $600 gun when I can buy the $900 model that's actually got all the features I want.
It's cheaper sure, but I feel like I'm just throwing 600 away on something I'll never really be truly happy with. Bargain hunting with guns doesn't work for me, and I don't suggest it to anyone.

A bit of both, I just know what I want and know what a good price is. A lot of it is buying and selling over the years. At most I had 29 guns at one time, now I'm down to >>32374660 which is just the guns I actually shot rather than a bunch of guns that didn't see much use.

The largest flaw I see in there is the fact that you don't shoot 762x39 out of anything(ak/vz58/sks).

I really love the m57. 7.62x25 is such a fun little round, real fast, light recoil, and stupid bright as fuck muzzle flash that puts a grin on my face every time (pic related). Mine isn't Surplus so I don't know how those are. One thing you definitely go it a do if you get one is break off the mag safety. Even if being able to fire without a mag matters to you or not, it keeps the mag from dropping out. It just pops out and you have to rip it out. It's really easy to do its only a tiny piece of sheet metal.

The P64 is pretty good too, definitely replace the springs unless you like a 20 lb da trigger pull. Hammer bite and slide vite happens a lot if you got big hands. Thankfully I'm a manlet so it fits me pretty well

Bought a beretta 92s for cheap and hate the sights. But it has good ergonomics for my big mitts and a nice trigger, and I really am torn between buying another and having it be a pair of funs or selling and getting a CZ 75.
Option 3 is pic related. What do?

Go scorpion. Buddy just got his sbr in, that thing is sick. Great design, easy takedown, and good aftermarket parts selection. Mags are cheap! I'd go the kak blade route tho.

the beretta is a lot fatter around the grip area than the cz, but i think that can be alleviated by buying aftermarket grips for it, or by buying a vertec-style 92.

anyway this is my long gat collection. ive bought and sold a couple since arriving back stateside, and it's not much compared to a bunch of other /k/ommandos, but at the end of the day, im just happy enough that i get to own guns. this also feels like too many to know what to do with.
