Hey lads,
Mosin Nagant's are really cheap here ($450, compared to $750 for a K98, or upwards of $1200 for an R700).
I'm not sure what model to get. Are they really that different?
Would 10/10 appreciate if a Mosin Nagant guru could chime in and help me out
Also post Mosin Nagants ITT

Sorry for my autism. As you were.

Even now you should be able to get them for less than 250$ bro. 450 is absolutely atrocious unless it's a Finn.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Mosin, but even $200 is pushing it. I'd say if you really want a Mosin, order online. Otherwise, get a different rifle online and have it shipped to your local FFL.
$450 ain't cheap, bruh.
I paid like $300 for mine, but it's in AMAZING shape and has basically everything. Think I'm missing 2 pieces from the cleaning kit and that's about it.

Yeah lad, any advice for sellers?
>>32370437
I cry every time, seriously. I'd have bought like 5 of them.

Australia generally costs more for any firearm
>>32370477
I still can't imagine having to fork over that much for it.
Mosins are overpriced as fuck right now. At that point, you may as well buy a brand new rifle if you don't care for historical significance.

most new rifles are $500 minimum here man, unless it's second hand or really low quality

Some have much better sights than others, and some are much better-built and/or maintained than others. The M91 sight picture is pretty poor; the 91/30 sights are a bit better and the Finnish Mansner sights are great.
Just bought one from Cabela's and will be picking it up in about a week. What should I expect? First time buying a gun

how much is a lee enfield? get a native gun it should be cheaper, and they are WAY better than mosins

lol
$500 will get you a pretty poor condition No1 SMLE, likely sporterised.

the same could be said for any milsurp, really.
Hey lads, found one local, just traded in today.
M44, appears to be a laminated stock, made in 1944, with matching serial numbers. How's the bore look?
More pics to come

Finn nugget if you can find one (M28, M28/30 and M39 are the best ones)

bore looks not great. Rifling strong but that barrel would charitably be described as "clouded." I wouldn't buy it
