Pic somewhat related

Do you want me to explain how I know that you didn't consult with /k/ before you bought those, or do you want me to pat you on the head and pretend that everything is OK?
>>
>>32359166
springfield's fine
marlin qc has been terrible for many years now
>>
>>32359230
Uninformed fuddlore.

I've owned a .45-70 Marlin made in 2015 for 6m now. Never had any of the problems that the guy in the video explained
>>
>>32359166
They'll both work well for their intended purposes. If you got the 1911 for self defense I'd suggest buying a bunch of ammo and practicing.
>>
My father in law has a 30-30 and it is a fine rifle.

A 308 is a better rifle, and an AR is more practical.

I love my 1911 in 45ACP. I hope you love yours as well. The triggers are fantastic, and since I dont like plastic guns, I love the feel and weight of them.

What are you going to hunt with the 30-30? If you bought it as a sporting rifle, you done goofed.
>>
>>32359333
They've gotten their act together a bit more than they used to, but with any Freedom Group/Cerberus firearms, I still feel like I'd be buying something made in China. You just know that they fired all the older and experienced white workers at the factory and hired a bunch of illegal immigrants.
>>
>>32359333
do you not understand the concept of QC?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quality_control
>>
>>32359201
Uh-oh Did I fuck up?
>>
>>32359276
Can't judge the whole on one. Every company has a lemon slip through now and then.
>>
>>32359447
There were lots and lots of fucked up rifles produced during the transition period.
>>
>>32359383
Coyote, and I wanted something something to take to the range where I didnt have to be parinoid about it being legal or not, I got a select fire M4 a whiloe back, but its in arizona
>>
>>32359432
Not really, but you got what would be a lot of people's second choices.

>Marlin 30-30
If you got one with good QC, the caliber makes that gun really only good for deer hunting with iron sights. I think most people would prefer a bolt action in .308 for general purpose hunting, or a 45-70 in a big bore brush gun, or maybe something like a .357 or .44 magnum for a plinker lever action. 30-30 is very underappreciated because it's kind of niche.

>Springfield 1911
They make good guns, but they are assembled in other countries and the price is not too far off from a real 1911, aka, a Colt. I got my Colt brand new for $700 + tax and it has a really beautiful blued finish, not the paint/parkerized finish that Springfield uses.

This is it. It has no glaring defects. Biggest thing I could see is that the scratches of the loading port from me loading the thing
>>
>>32359472
A 30-30 is fine for Coyote. I have shot a coyote with a 308, but never a 30-30, but a 30-30 will do the job. Watch the fucking coyote come out of the wood line and take the lead alpha. The rest will scatter back into the woodline.
>>
>>32359583
its a pretty gun, I like marlin levers

I would have gone with 45-70 though
>>
>>32359166
>made in USA
Huh. I always thought modern Springfield Armory 1911's were made in Brazil.
>>
>>32359647
No. I'm not OP.
I'm >>32359333
With the .45-70
>>
>>32359524
I think you missed the part where he said he was from commiefornia.

in this shithole state the only colt thats on the roster is the commander series 80, which goes for about 900
>>
>>32359779
I think you missed the part where people in America actually follow or care about the peculiarities of your nanny state's laws.
>>
>>32359812
Lol. No need to be a sensitive little bitch. You were wrong. He corrected you. Move on.
>>
>>32359826
No, I was right. He was a statist and you are a statist apologist.
>>
>>32359812
>>32359836
i think you have literal autism

>he's a statist
right. thats why I said this is a shithole state

>I think you missed the part where people in America actually follow or care about the peculiarities of your nanny state's laws.

>>
>>32359468

American as fuck, OP. You did a good job.
>>
>>32361222
They jam.
>>
>>32359166
.30-30s are bretty gud, lever action that shoots a useful, albeit underappreciated round. Might get one myself.
>>
>>32361714
Only if you cant handle them properly. Mine have never jammed.
>>
>>32359583
I fucking love lever actions
>>

Where do I get that strap for rounds, I dont know what iits called
>>
>>32364310
