Looking for a new hunting rifle in a middle of the road chambering. Don't know why but I have a huge hard on at the moment for full length stocks.
CZ makes pick related. I'm thinking of picking one up in .270.
Comes with a single set trigger and is sexy as hell.
>Anyone have experience with the CZ 550fs in .270?
>Worth the money?
>Any other full length stock hunting rifle I should check out?
I know this is pretty specific, but someone has to have something for me.

Only bad thing about CZs are the proprietary, expensive magazines.
If you want one that particular model, jump on it soon. I've heard rumblings that they'll be discontinuing the Mannlicher-style stocks sometime in the near future.

Ya got one already. I'm a stickler for a good trigger.
I think the word you're looking for is mannlicher.
I don't see how it would be an advantage over a regular shorter stock, but I admit sometimes they can look better.

OP should know a thing or two about being a man licker.

Yes I knew it was called a mannlicher stock.
I checked out CZs website and got all the detailed info.

This is why I avoided using the term mannlicher.

Don't know if I can help, but I can give you a little history lesson.
Mannlicher-style stocks, as they're called, trace their roots back to the Mannlicher–Schönauer rifle. The civilian version of the rifle was popular with African big-game hunters (including none other than Ernest Hemingway). Thus, many of the rifles were made with flattened bolt handles, full-length stocks, and other "streamlining" features to facilitate carry in a rifle scabbard. The stock style stuck around mostly because they just look fucking cool.
I'd recommend one in 6.5 swede but that's just me
>dime sized groupings
>sub 60 cent match loads if you reload
It's fucking great
This is my thread

.270 is another really good 6mm round but isn't fucking unobtanium in the US, as in you can actually buy some in stores if you need an emergency top off mid hunting trip. I'd totally recommend 6.5 Swede for a /k/ommando in Europastan.
>this can be had in 7.62x39 for under a grand
The need is great but the safe is small

fucking where. and dont you dare say by sticking a damn chamber inset in an original
