Meet the new long round which all others will be judged
>>32347710
Oh lawd. What's the BC on that?
Frankly, at this point, it would be better to just use a Kornet for sniping the way Syrians do.
>>32347710
>greater than 12.7mm
>can't purchase in Canada
.338LM works just fine.
.50BMG works too if your target is 34" across at 1.5km+ with no breeze.
>>32347710
Bruh, at that point you may as well just use 20mm.
>>32347729
Apparently 1.85
Supersonic out to 5k yds
>>32347779
>can't purchase in Canada
What are you talking about? That would be non-restricted in Canada.
>>32347811
Jesus.
Quick and dirty based on estimates from The Firearm Blog
Also, I wonder if those rounded shoulders are intentional or if the case needs to be fireformed?
>>32347710
>5'11
>6'0
>>32347710
Why do people keep doing dumb shit like this. What's the point of having such a huge and long projectile compared to a relatively small power load. It seems like every single wildcat cartridge is useless fudd shit firing 10 pound projectiles at 100 fps.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/14.5%C3%97114mm
It's almost like this already exists.
>>32347855
You can't own a rifle that fires rounds larger than .50cal / 12.7mm in diameter.
This thing is firing 14.9mm is it not?
>>32347975
Retard.
>>32347975
Yes, you can. We have no such restriction in Canada. People privately own PTRD's, PTRS's, Boys rifles and all sorts of other large caliber guns.
See, only .25 and .32 caliber pistols are too dangerous to own based on the size of da boolets.
Our laws are retarded.
>>32347995
Rude
>>32347998
Well fuck.. I've been told wrong for years then.
Now if only they didn't cost the same as a house down payment.
>>32348051
In the US they have a limitation on that. There, anything larger than .500 that is deemed to "not have a sporting use" is deemed a "destructive device" and has a ton of restrictions. With a few notable exceptions (such as pic related), the "sporting use" basically comes down to shotguns.

>4215 inches of drop at 4000 yards while still traveling at a supersonic 1,520 ft/s
What crazy shit is this..

>Lawful to shoot these on your property
>A .22 short pistol, though? What are you trying to do? Kill everyone in a three km radius?
>>32348084
Horizontal speed doesn't have anything to do with fighting gravity. Some stuff you just can't beat.
At that range the bullet will have traveled several seconds. How far can a rock fall in 5 seconds? The drop in that table is around 350 feet, a bit over the length of a football field.
>>32348163
I should add that was more just an example, and also I don't know if that table is perfectly accurate- it probably isn't. A case so extreme as this might violate common ideas about ballistics and make a typical table generator incorrect.
>can't carry gun further than a few hundred yards
>can cut a helicopter in half
Too close to call
>>32347710
What would a RIP round in this caliber do at normal home defense ranges?
>>32347967
Why do you care faggot? Does this affect you in someway? No, it doesn't. Stick to anime and shut the fuck up.
>>32347899
I can tell you for a fact the drop is wrong, unless the drag is somehow pushing it upwards. Acceleration is 32.2 ft/s^2, integral of this is 1/2*g*t^2 to get distance fallen, plugging in 7.5s gives 905.625ft = 10867.5 inches drop. Can't fight gravity. Just too much hang time, needs to go faster.
>>32348387
Oops, used wrong column for time. Using 5.36 seconds it comes out to 5550.6 inches, so closer.
>>32348326
It would certainly cause some short-dicked morons to part with their money. Probably harmless to anyone on the other side of the gun.
>>32348387
Where are you getting 7.5 seconds? The 4000 yard mark is at 5.3 seconds, which works out to 402 feet, or 4824 inches. Something is still screwy there but I'm assuming that is due to the 100 yard zero.
>Got the long round to compensate the short phallus
>>32348564
Also, not knowing which BC profile is being used is unhelpful as well. There doesn't seem to be very much data on the round...
Oh hey this thing again
Welcome to 2013 OP
Prob illegal in UK. Then again, everything is, because, LOL.
