This sell for $7500 and a 50 found box of hollow points is $99! My interest in this just died

I have no problem maintaining turgid erections for things I cannot afford.
>>
>>32330256
Round sounds kinda cool. Too bad, unless they make the round design open source so other manufacturers can design a pistol around it, it is going to flop.

I would have loved to try handloading this cartridge.
>>
They should get in with wolf/tula and get some 18cpr ammo going. And get the price below $1200 for the gun.
>>
Op here. Luxury firearms in ok will be selling them. I got a chance to pre order. Got the email on price and accessories price. Nearly shat myself
>>
>>32330256
Sauce? Because that sounds like horseshit you made up. These just got green-lit by the ATF back in October.

I read "north of $5k"; but $7,500 is too far out there. Century Arms and EEA Corp would take too big of a hit in lack of sales.
>>
>>32330467
Luxuryfirearms out of Oklahoma. Like said before. I contacted brno early on about this pistol. Asked about if importation will happen, price of gun price/availability of ammo (said ammo will be close to .44mag price). So because of that I got a chance to pre order
>>
>>32330256
>The 7,5 FK Field pistol is a single action, tilting barrel type mechanism, with a proprietary recoil attenuating system.
yawn
>The 7,5 FK is a completely new proprietary cartridge caliber.
>This caliber is not a necked down version of any other caliber.
>This cartridge will not fit in any magazine, nor will it function in any current production model pistol.
LOL

why, though? why do retards keep making new proprietary cartridges? it's a rhetorical question, I realize they're aiming for nepotistic contracts with European theater-militias that they'll then have built-in lifetime ownership of.

why do YOU give a shit, though? these things exist just to get the creators paid, through fraud and corruption. they're not even meant to be appealing or sought-after.

I already have a CZ75 pattern gun that was less than a tenth the cost, that shoots ammo that is less than 1/4th the cost, that's smaller and lighter and has more aftermarket and a good reputation. What exactly is the point of this gun?

There is literally no reason to sell that firearm at that price.

Nobody collects guns like "that". There is no extensive market for rare BRNO guns in the US, no draw to this pistol, nothing to make it attract any sort of market share at all. They will not bring in a pistol that expensive because it will not make them any money. It is entirely too niche.
>>
>>32330932
it might have an application in bowling pin shooting or silhouette shooting
>>
>>32330892
Oops, thought it was $50 a box. Make that ammo that's about a ninth the cost.

>>32330920
For what purpose? If I want power, I'll shoot a rifle or a Magnum pistol for significantly cheaper in a much more practical package. What's the market? Is this just designed to waste money? It's not even an original design, most of it is just a CZ75 clone.

What are the advantages of this cartridge over prior cartridges? What niche does it fill? Does it do this thing sufficiently better than existing cartridges to justify the increased cost and incompatibility? The answer is almost always no.

Friction welded SS cases is progression.

LSAT telescoped and caseless is prop progression.

7.fucktard is neither when we've seen how a 7.62 mm pistol cartridge performs.

And in terms of accuracy, 5.7 is surprisingly accurate so it doesn't even have that.

t b h I don't know anything about this round, but to say developing new proprietary cartridges is pointless is stupid.
>What niche does it fill? Does it do this thing sufficiently better than existing cartridges to justify the increased cost and incompatibility?
It doesn't have to be a commercial success to warrant development. Not many people use 6.5 Grendel, or any of the new 6mm cartridges, but it's still a great cartridge.

Why does everyone get excited about this?
It's in a stupid caliber.
it doesn't look that good. It looks like a CZ with a tumor growing on the dust cover.
The finish and controls look good, but that's all.
>>
>>32331154
>pushing a site that purposely sells overpriced, custom made firearms
>not even one of the companies that can legally import FK BRNOs yet

At any rate, I'M excited for it!
>a necked down 10mm

>>32330955
Silhouette will continue to be dominated by single shots in rifle calibers (7mm T/CU, despite being "dead" by SAAMI specs, still wins more silhouette shoots than any other caliber despite only one company ever chambering it in a production gun).

For example, at 300m 6.5 T/CU offers better ballistics all around (flatter shooting, more energy, less recoil) while being chambered in a firearm with 13" of sight radius that's easily scoped, having common and cheap reloading components available (formed from .223 brass in a single pass, errybody makes high-BC 6.5mm bullets and it works with everything from 90-200gr because lolsingleshot) and the actual gun itself only costs about $500.
>>
>>32331288
>controls look good
Which is the whole point of the gun. Rifle grade ammo and power out of a pistol that kicks slightly more than a 9mm.
>>
>>32330256
I would prefer they would have made it in something like .357 Magnum, .30 Carbine or .45 Winchester Magnum, the recoil attenuating system seems like it'd help make a short-recoil Magnum automatic more practical, as compared to say, an AMT pistol.

It'd also help justify it's size, even if you threw a muzzlebrake on the thing too.
>>
>>32331297
Just get a 9x25 dillon
>>
>>32331288
>why does anyone like this gun?

seems to be specifically for handgun hunting, and possibly target shooting. That answers the "why", now the question is "why does anybody want that?". I legit have no idea why people hunt with handguns

I know, let's make 7.5!
>>
>>32330256
I mean to be fair, shit looks like a race gun if I've ever seen one.

That thing is like a CZ match on steroids. It really does look beautiful though. Probably some of the best ergonomics ever invented on a pistol too looking by the weight distribution and handgrip

>What's the market? Is this just designed to waste money? It's not even an original design, most of it is just a CZ75 clone.

It was originally designed to military requirements IIRC. Someone wanted a weapon easily usable from a car while packing some punch and range - that's why the ammo is new too. The whole 'hunting pistol' thing is probably just BRNO's marketing people getting creative. At the moment it's in early production while they shop it around to various interested parties like special forces, security services, PMCs, and the like.

Not every new weapon is designed with the civilian market as the primary focus. Making things instantly and cheaply accessible to Joe Q. Fudd and his desire for a Lego-like accessories in a huge aftermarket isn't the point of weapons like these.
>>
>>32341920
Thanks for the diagram
>>
It's literally just an over priced TT-33
It's a overpowered necked down 30 cal
It's three hundred feet per second faster than a $180 tokarev. TT-33 same size projectile and has a larger capacity magazine but that's a strange room for that price.
>>
>>32330291
In Canada we get the chink knock offs usually from the same factory as the originals
>>
>>32330974
>For what purpose?
Pistol with true stopping power? You know those horror stories about police peppering criminals with dozen's of 9x19, 0.40 and 0.45 to stop them? "Shoot placement" my ass. Now the era of weak pistol ended. One shot, insta kill. Hydraulic shock baby. Rifle power in pistol package.
>>
>>32330813
It's a fucking handgun that can drop a bull moose with one shot at almost 100 yards.

Cool beans. Now make one in 10mm AUTO.
>>
>>32343569
10mm is anemic as fuck compared to 7.5 you fan boy memelord
>>
>>32343848
http://ammoseek.com/ammo/10mm-auto

It can be had in the US for under 30 c/round, though.

As per their website: http://www.fkbrno.com/cartridge-7-5

Muzzle velocity = 610 m/s
Muzzle energy = 1200 J

Compared to 10mm AUTO (135 gr doubletap ammo)

Muzzle velocity = 490 m/s
Muzzle energy = 1041 J

So ~15% the cost for ~80% the velocity and ~87% the muzzle energy.

It also has the same base diameter.
>>
>>32343947
>less accurate
>less penetration
>doesn't stay super sonic half as long as 7.5

B-but muh poorfagging!!!
>>
>>32343483
I don't understand that gibberish but what I do know is if you try to brag and peacock its "muh stopping powah" or its penetration abilities
Prepare to have your shit pushed in by a steel core surplus 7.62x25 punching holes in level three armour at 800fps while your jewtastic Hollywood showpiece bounces off.
>>
>>32343970
87% the energy is nowhere near anemic. Have fun with your 7.5(thousanddollar) pistol
