A VEPR 12

hows that work for you?
A perfect condition Ithaca NID Field Grade with all the addons, and Bisley Tube inserts, and an extra barrel for skeet.
Or, a Franchi Instinct L
Pic not related. But, I wounder the looks I'd get if I were to bring something like this in.
Haven't shot clays in years, but:
Trap: 870 Wingmaster with a fixed 28" MOD choke
Skeet: 18" Cylinder bore 870 for informal and Remington 1100 LT-20 for formal matches
Sporting Clays: 11-87 Premier 26" LW with Skeet for close shots and MOD for field shots

idk what to feel about that gun it bothers and intrigues me

I too have the Stoeger M3000 24"
Got it as soon as the 24" barrel was available for order and I love it... I added a +6 tube for competition/3 gun.

Did anyone else get tricked about getting into skeet?
I shoot trap with a winchester m1897, 30 inch barrel, fixed full choke. Normally average 20-22
This just proves that you don't need to spend 2k on a shotgun for clays

I literally shoot random shotguns, sometimes buying lots off of RIA or getting whatever the local pawnshop has.
I actually do it to fuck with people. I can shoot well with any standard field gun, usually 23 or 24 per round. Certain guns, like 870 Wingmasters, Model 500s, and Marlin 55s, I can shoot 24 or 25 almost every round, ignoring extreme conditions and shit.
It freaks people out to shoot against someone with a Duck Dynasty 835 or a half-broken Sears single, especially when they are getting out shot.

I shoot for a very blue college that doesn't like our club, I use a browning gold

Same here.

Works fine for me, I do better than with my 870. I use no choke for skeet, and often times a mod or full choke for trap.
The one thing you need to figure out is mag management, but I've got that figured out. I sling a psl pouch so it sits at my right side.

How's the ejection on a semi-auto shotgun? I was next to this one lady who had never shot before and she was using a semi-auto and half the time her shells would hit me since I was in the rotation to the right of her shooting trap.
I use a 870 express with a 28 in barrel.

I feel like skeet is harder to hit your first clays but easier to master than trap wheras trap is easier to hit your first clays but harder to master.

>How's the ejection on a semi-auto shotgun?
Webm related should give you a glimpse on how mine ejects with light loads. It ejects slightly to the side, but mostly forward and away from someone next to you.
I've maybe had a 2-3 failures to extract from the chamber over the years I've used it. Always on shot 5 when the mag's BHO is pushing up on the bolt.
I think it's due to some factory mistake weak load or something. I think it gets pulled back, but just not quite far enough to hit the ejector on the rail.

>I think it gets pulled back, but just not quite far enough to hit the ejector on the rail.
I should add, it basically just rechambers the empty shell.
One thing I love on the vepr12 is how easy the mags come out, skip to 10 seconds in.
Video was just me trying to capture the literal fog cloud that results from shooting a bunch of leafy green weeds with an x-full choke.
There's just a moisture explosion if I shoot a fairly water rich plant like corn or something.

>Mfw my local range won't allow it for shooting clays
I hate Miami

Antonio Zoli Kronos
I shoot competiton trap.
I'm to the far right

Shot skeet with an old over-under 20ga Baikal. Used to shoot cross doubles, one with each hand. I miss it every now and then.
I was in Alabama once and we were bored so we went to a sporting clay range or whatever it's called and rented some guns. We just drove around on a golf cart shooting stuff. Some of the clays get shot at ground level and bounce around. Maybe as if it was a rabbit or something.
What kind of shotgun do you guys think I should get for starting out playing occasional trap/skeet? I've used a Mossberg 500 for skeet and a rental CZ over under for trap before. Are cheap, used over-unders a thing?
>>32338428
Yes they are. As long as you got the right chokes, you're good to go with a used over under.
I shoot all three sports with a cz wingshooter elite which is a nice over under for its price but I'll be looking to upgrade once I can afford it
