Which fit in pocket better?
>>
>>32328200
Derringer. Or maybe finger guns
>>
>>32328200
I imagine the Lc9 would fit better in your pocket...the cylinder on the revolver looks like it would bulge a little more.
>>
>>32328213
I'm thinking of getting an LCP ver.2 unless an LCR would fit better in a pocket. Then I don't know.
>>
>>32328229
Damn, I just realized that's not an LCP. Pretend it's an LCP.
>>
>>32328230
Well, look at width, lengh and hight. Whichever is smaller would satisfy. Depending on preference
>>
>>32328251
Is LCP the 380 model? I have an LC9s and it looks pretty close to the one in the OP.
>>
Having owned both, you will not notice a difference.
>>
I've got the LCR .357, it's thicker but then again it isn't a piddly ass .380 so there's that.
>>
>>32328318
+1

They are pretty much identical
>>
>>32328505
My bad, 9mm, still weak compared to the magnum.
>>
>>32328520
There is hardly a gain in using Magnum rounds with a short barrel for the increase in muzzle flash and recoil.

I use a S&W Airweight. It pockets well and the cylinder is what prints but that hides the rest of the silhouette.
>>
>>32328520
and .357 isnt magic

Short barrel 9 vs short barrel .357

I know what I prefer
>>
>>32328578
I like the S&W snubs but their trigger is horrendous compared to the LCR.
>>
OP here.

Okay, let me ask the right way.

Would a micro-380 or a snub .38spl carry better in a pocket?

Anyway, I'm probably just going to get the .380

Interesting chart - so anything 3" and lower, it doesn't matter whether or not you use .357 or 9mm, but over that there's a huge difference.
>>
>>32328697
Revolvers are classier.
>>
>>32328806
Correct, although I think 9 is objectively better at 2", some loads offer even more power than .357 and since it still has way less muzzle flash and slightly less recoil it's just.. better
>>
>>32328787

You realize that this chart says that most .357 pistols will carry 50% more energy than 9mm
>>
>>32328828
I guess you could extend that to 3" as well - since the muzzle energy is about the same, you should use 9mm for that as well.
>>
>>32328837
You realize we're talking about pistols with 1.87" barrels?

The 9 has more power at that length.

The amount of powder you have does not matter in a short barrel, it's how fast the powder burns. Magnum powders burn slowly.
>>
>>32328863
Not going to even matter because most commercial hot 9mm is gonna jump crimp in the LCR.

9mm headspaces off the case of the mouth even in a revolver like the LCR. Whether you use the moonclips or not the 9mm LCRs have problems extracting.
>>
>>32329001
The loads that maintain their power are use 90-115g bullets. Jumping the crimp only really happens with the heavier 135 & 147 bullets, which you shouldn't be using anyways.

I've never had any problem with extraction in my 9mm lcr
>>
>>32329108
are all using*

LCP II is great, the first gen sucked but now I think the LCP II is the best pocket 380 on the market

the only hangup with the LCR would be the grips. They're similar to the Hogue overmold material and i feel like they may get hung up inside a pocket. other than that, it isn't too bulky even with the cylinder, and is stupidly light. I don't know about you but I'll take 5 rounds of 38 special over 6 of 380 anyday
>>
>>32328697
The mouse gun will conceal better.
>>
Lcp fits better.

I have both but only carry my lcp. Way easier to carry.
>>
>>32328806
>>32328828
Yeah, all this. Basically, it's because Magnum powder burns slower. It doesn't have time to reach full burn shorter than 3", so it doesn't get the extra power that provides. Over, it jumps straight on out.
