I have one and its cool and all but sks+kit, you may be better off buying a Decent AK assuming your looking for a 7.62 39 plinker. Anyway the stock improves the weight destribution alot and the way the bras deflector is shaped i get almost no jams from extractions, just from cheap tapco mags, nothing new there, get the one with the extended mag release, the extra effort is worth it, trigger is.... well lets not go there sks triggers and all. Overall Im satified, would i do it again sure but its not a go into the woods rifle anymore and more of a nice range toy to show off.

no its has to be a AK that can take ak mags(Chines type D), the extended mag release is more for convenience, not necessary. Any SKS can fit the kit but unless u have one of the Chinese unicorn ones, your stuck with either Tapco duckbill mags or the always reliable fixed mag.

It takes duckbills as is, you can buy an adapter to use AK mags if you want. I just bought a bunch of duckbills before they banned them here.

How is it shooting with that setup? Do you ever get hit in the face with brass? I wouldnt ever do this to my SKS but itd be fun to shoot i think if somehow that setup solves the issue of SKS spitting brass any direction it feels like.

long as you locktite everying down and cut and crown your barrel (thread if legal) its a pretty fun plinker..heavy as SHIT but fun..you CAN NOT shoot left handed because bolt to the chin/teeth (friend didn't listen to me and found out the hard way)..the integrated ak style latch is cool with the tapco mags, still difficult to get the damn things in but a much easier release..good luck zeroing anything other then a red dot sight at less than 100 meters though as the top rail cover is made of plastic/polymer and is NOWHERE near in line with bore...BUT if you can get past all of that and of course the cost, i say go for it..however, if your going to bubba your sks even more i might suggest the sabertooth stock from matador arms (pic related)

The stock itself is an SGWorks bullpup stock kit $220 iirc. The foregrip is something I harvested off of a P90 airsoft gun, sand it it, painted and epoxied to one of the little rails that bolt on. It's sturdy, but if it breaks, no issue, just unbolt the rail and replace with a standard foregrip or leave as is.

I dont have to take it down for cleaning. It's all accessible (except for the outside part of the reciever/barrel.)

You can use the box mag and stripper clips. Theres a hatch on top that's spring loaded for you to put in clips.

It can use any AR Stock or attachment.
No cant make it shorter here because of 18.5" Barrel law otherwise it becomes restricted firearm.
we are just happy we can get SKS's for 225 and this Converted Gun for $700 machining is done to the original SKS to allow the Magazines to feed reliably and to fit the conversion stock. which also helps tighten up groups.

Thx, it's really a blast (pun intended) to shoot out of a 16" barrel that close to your face. It's my favorite range toy by far, and I'd take this with soft-points for HD anyday over my shotgun. The small package is good for slicing the pie.

I've gotten it dialed in well enough to get a 1" grouping of 5 rounds (made a vertical gash) at 150 yards, this was prone, and the bayonet was jabbed into the soil to act like a monopod.

I've ordered a muzzle brake for it now too.
We'll see how that changes it.
