$225 dollars for a carbine length russian m44 mosin with a matching bayonet and slight pitting in the barrel.
if it's got a good stock and a good bore then it isn't awful considering the market for nuggets and the astronomical prices being asked for many of them.
eh,
Not good not bad.

Considering the bayonet is permanently-attached to the M44 I should certainly hope it's matching. That's an OK price for 2016; go for it.
how much pitting are we talking
do you have any experience with mosins/milsurp rifles in general? could you tell the difference between slight pitting and heavy pitting?

no experience really, but it seems pretty slight.

I payed $400 for a Tula hex 91/30
Should I feel bad?
>>32318357
Not if you're happy.

It had a beautiful stock under all the cosmoline. The store I got it at didn't put any of their milsurp out on the shelves and it was caked more usual. Excited to fire over the beak if I get a change.
Found a Mosin that has an Arch Angel Stock. He's trying to sell it packaged deal with a savage Axis .308 for $450. I understand Mosin market went up but I'm not sure if this is a good deal just based on the stock. Should I pull the trigger on this deal /k/?

Maybe not if you are Australian

That's decent. A good condition Soviet M44 is about 250.

That's about $225 a rifle, not great especially for an arc angel mosin. That said the savage could be nice. If you got the cash lying around go for it.

>mosin
Only for collection. For shooting its shit.

>slight pitting in the barrel
that's a decent price but I certainly wouldn't pay a normal price for a rifle with a pitted barrel
