scope mounts on dustcovers rattle and roll and cant hold a zero. supposedly it was like 1 of 50 or some odd chinese scoped variants that were imported with a scope mount on them in the proper way.

I get that I can just buy a scope mount and put it on an sks, but im looking at an sks WITH a scope mount, one that supposedly came that way from china. Im tryna find out what it would actually be worth, more or less than a plain jane chinese sks so tomorrow when I go to meet him i actually have an idea of what im looking at.

Navy Arms brought them in and put the mounts on.

IIRC a lot did not come with scopes.

Look up Navy Arms imports, they had those PU type mounts.

I suppose the real question that noone wants to answer is, is a non matching SKS with no bayonet but with a PU scope mount worth 600 in trade?

One of the something like 25 variants of commercial SKS imported before the import ban.

All of the china imports have chrome bores. Don't believe the hype about them supposedly having match grade barrels, it's just a normal SKS tapped for a scope.

No bayonet.

Without inspecting it, I wouldn't be making the trade. $400 is still $400 whether or not it's cash or a trade. Firing pin should float freely, check extractor for cracks and chips, barrel crown undamaged etc.

I'm going to inspect it tomorrow, the guy was asking 600 but I got him to accept a trade, we are meeting up tomorrow to wheel and deal each other. I was hoping I could Jew him some more and lay down some cash since he approached me.
