I'll dump some pics I have from my Venezuela folder. As I understand it Venezuela does spend quite a bit on its military, but is hampered by massive corruption and a tanking economy. They may have a bit of zeal, but in a standup fight we'd fuck them rather quickly. I give it maybe 3 weeks to a month max for a conventional war. Guerrilla war may go on for some time since there's a shitload of armed gangs loyal to the Venezuelan government that we'd have to combat, along with the usual shit that happens when you end up having to occupy a country. Honestly I prefer the current route where we're just ignoring them and they're doing a fine job of destroying themselves on their own.

I'm from Venezuela and even i know we are fucked.

I wanna put together a big infographic-type image that lists amusing / disturbing facts about Socialist / Communist / Post-Communist (read: Russia) nations, for the purpose of highlighting how backwards retarded the whole system is whenever stupid impressionable leftists try to sing its praises.

Examples of some stuff I already have is: How China's Great Leap Forward killed millions of people (by slaughtering sparrows which lead to a locust swarm, among other things), how their rural Police are issued intentionally shitty revolvers because they're so corrupt that they trade them to criminals, and stats about Rhodesia's economy / literacy rates / life expectancy / etc. versus Zimbabwe's.

I just need more anecdotes like that, so any surprising links / articles would be appreciated. Wanna keep North Korea references to a minimum since it's a well-known joke of a country, but NK material is still welcomed.

you are right to a degree, but Venezuela isn't completely third world and there are many more intelligent (relatively) people throughout their population than there are in (insert country that took forever to end the occupation). It would be short and we'd just have to throw food at them and lynch the communist leadership. The occupation wouldn't take very long at all since Venezuela is much more accustomed to having a functioning government instead of all of their decisions being made by a tribal leader in a tent.
