Does anyone ever actually have to sign for their ammo?

I've never signed for my ammo. I get home from work and it's there on the doorstep.

I have. I ordered some mags right after sandy vag and I had to sign for them too (wtf?). But when I lived in the country I knew my UPS guy and he would literally just pile that shit up next to my garage when I wasn't there because no way was he going to make another trip up my windy-ass driveway in a UPS truck.

Once the local UPS guy left a box behind the hedges, so I had to ask him if when he gets ORM-D stuff to just put it in the garage.

Worked for UPS for 3 years behind a phone listening to customers complain about ammo showing delivered on the website but not being there when they got home, happened about once every other week. I remember boxes of everything from .22 LR bricks to cases of 5.56 and nugget food being reported missing.

Delivery drivers are mostly overworked and most don't really care if your stuff makes it to your hands or not, so long as GPS says the truck was in front of your house at the time they state they delivered.

I asked him the other day about it. He just looked at me with exasperation and said he doesn't want to leave ammo where people will steal it around here.

I don't even have to sign when I pay extra for signature delivery. Dude just leaves it on my porch and rolls out

For UPS at least, I just sign online. Fedex I have them hold at a location. Never had anything ship via usps
