I just saw this on Atlantic. Talk me off the ledge.

That wood stock looks comfy AF.
>>
Sadly not NY legal but would rock with a non thumbhole stock. Especially in 308
>>
>>32313368
The grip feels good but it is a boat paddle of a stock. Buy it if you like it.

I'm sure it'll be more comfortable than my folder, and especially more comfy than the regular unpadded ak stock models. The recoil on heavy loads would be brutal without a rubber pad.
Vepr wood stocks are extremely comfortable. I really wish I could swap my folder stock for a stock like that sometimes just for feels sake.
But I value "cool" over what objectively better sometimes, so I'll stick with my mostly useless folder based on that alone.
>>
Oh my. Desperately needs a wooden forend but that is sex.
>>
While I'd rather have a proper AK the VEPR's stock was remarkably comfy and cozy for me when I tried it. If you're in a state where you have to use it then it's a great idea.

Or if you already have an AK then it's a good idea. And heck there's a little bit of a Vintorez vibe with that gun you posted. Maybe try and mod it up further to pull that off.

Recently got a VEPR in 5.45, didn't think I'd like the stock...but now I almost don't want to replace it. Very nice wood.

>>32313368
Nice firearm, but why would you want to finance the fuckers that want to bring US down to its knees?

Just Say No.

Fuck you for turning this political you shill piece of shit. Anyhow, I'll bite. Russia is only responding to the pointless aggression from the Obama and leftist administration. Somehow, so many faggots have forgotten Russia is still a nuclear power.

Are there any 7.62x52R Ak variants that's just look like normal AKMs but with a bigger mag?

I know someone made a shortened 54r ak based on PSL parts kits. They called it the AK-54r.
Otherwise you're probably looking at a converted 16" vepr54r and 5rd mags, or less reliable long 10rd mags.

It's nice, feels like a proper hunting firearm. Very solid and you can dump slugs all day without any issues.
That said, I'm wishing I had gotten the tube stock and converted it to a side folder, I don't hunt with shotguns and it's a range toy for me.

>>
>>32315702
Total piece of shit, very fun, but it is total garbage and the company should be ashamed of how low quality it is.
>>
>>32315260
OP here. I grew up shooting anschutz target rifles and nothing makes my dick harder than a well-sculpted wood pistol grip.

How's the ergonomics of the vepr wood stock on the 12? I could care less about tacticool folders, but i want something comfy and maybe a little a e s t h e t i c for what would be an urban HD gun and range toy.
>>
>>32315761
It's comfy, good palm swell, decent LOP. I could take sme pictures if you want, but I'm not sure how to convey the feeling to you over the internet.
>>
>>32315867
How big are your hands/arms?

I've got about a 6'5" armspan and a 10" hands-on, so how's the stock length and cheekpiece in terms of size?

And yeah, fire away with pics, I may well be doing a Vepr double-buy and getting a 54R as well. I'm not a vatnik by any means, but it seems that in terms of cost vs quality they currently build both the best semi-auto shotgun and the best high-powered semi-auto rifle, and the 54r especially comes off as a killer halfway point between a battle rifle and a precision rifle, and for a lot less than an AR-10 with similar MOA numbers, or even a garand.
>>
>>32313605
Fuck yeah, I love the soundtrack to Black Hawk Down
>>
>>32315716
it's pretty expensive too, right?
>>
>>32316145
$100

>>32315986
Medium glove sized hands, long arms, I'm 6'3"
Grip feels good but maybe a tad fat for shooting on the move. I'll measure the stock later but it's about NATO AK stock LOP with the rubber pad. The comb is a lot higher than a normal AK, but you need a very low mounted optic.
>>
>>32314076
That gun is ultrasex
>>
>>32316784
Oooh, tell me more...

How's it handle recoil with the wood stock and cushion?

As for sights, I have no intention of rocking anything beyond the stock irons and maybe a flashlight.
>>
>>32319416
Recoil is minimal, using 1oz slugs it feels kinda like a 7 62x39 AK.

The stock sights are RPK style irons and really nice, if only all new AKs came with those sights.
>>
In terms of comfort, how does the skeleton stock compare to the wooden one, because it sounds like the wooden stock is very comfy
>>
>>32319678
Wood stock is comfy as fuck, just bulky.
>>
>>32320110
>Bulky

How so?

Is it an issue of maneuverability, and does it make it harder to quickly shoulder the weapon compared to the skelly stock?
>>
>>32322436
It's not slow to shoulder, it's bulky to carry. Also, the gun handles like a 2x4 when you try to turn quickly, so..

>Good for hunting
>Bad for clearing houses
>>
Is the price point worth it or should I wait for a sale?
>>
Is this a good home defense weapon?
Pros vs Cons of auto vs pump shotguns?

>>32324128
Pump scares the intruder just by racking it!
>>
If I got a fixed stock version with the black metal stock, can I swap it out for wood?
>>
>>32313491
Can you guys have guns like the mini 14?look at the vepr pioneer. No scary pistol grip.
>>
>>32313368
Buy it from pretty much anyone else besides Atlantic Firearms.
>>
>>32324752
Who else if not them?
>>
>>32324951
Not him but look here

https://www.slickguns.com/search/apachesolr_search/VPR-12-11?upc_only=1&is_firearms_wikiarms=0

Mr. GunDealer has them for $718 with $30 shipping.
Never dealt with them, but that's less than Atlantic even before their shipping charges are taken into account.

I have a very related problem. I just decided I will definitely get a shotgun fed from a removable magazine. My choices are narrowed down to
>Vepr
OR
>Black Aces Tactical

Vepr considerations:
>semi automatic
>cheaper
>better magazines

Black Aces:
>pump action
(more robust, but a vepr is not far behind here)
>more expensive
>much more compact without any nfa restrictions
>Murrican Made

For consideration in both:
I want to shoot blackpowder shells out of whichever I buy, crazy restriction at a place I'll be shooting. Again
>BLACKPOWDER SHELLS

>tl;dr
Will the Vepr be able to digest multiple BP shells without failure or do I need to stick to the pump action Black Aces?
>>
>>32332261
And one more thing

Vepr:
>can shoot 3 imch shells

Black Aces:
>CANNOT shoot 3 inch shells
>>
>>32313368
