AMMO: Where is your go to store to get some ammo?

Walmart if its just a box or two. Online for 95% of my ammo purchases

Walmart for everything not Slav.
Brass 9mm (perfecta) for 9.78 a box all day every day.
12 gauge target loads for .20-30 a round too.
Otherwise LGS for 5.45 (30 rounds of wolf for 7.99) and 7.62x54 (9.95/10.95 a box).
I haven't done anything online yet just because shipping ruins the benefit.

Walmart here. Picked up some Tula 9mm and a Chinesium ammo can. Ordered some Federal from Streichers on cyber Monday when they had 15% off and free shipping. I think ordering online is only good when there is free shipping or ordering in bulk, or buying some obscure cartridge.

I pick at ammo deals online whenever there's free shipping codes. Sportsman's Guide is good for that. Walmart will occasionally have good deals too.

That said, my favorite for anything that's not surplus ammo or Silver Bear/Brown Bear is Cabela's. Get a couple of those discounted gift cards they have on eBay regularly ($85 for $100 card, $40 for $50 card, etc.), then fill out the customer service survey on their receipts for $20 off a purchase of $150 or more. Then, wait for the sales to cycle to something you need, and if you play your cards right, you'll be buying $10.98/box or less 9mm ammo and getting $150 worth of that ammo for about $100 plus tax. Cabela's is usually slightly more than the other brick and mortar places, but when you're kicking them in the balls with coupons to the tune of 33% off (or more, if you're using referral rewards sites like Active Junkie instead of going in-store), it more than makes up for it.

Just picked some ammo from them because cheapest brand name 9mm brass I've seen online. There was some damages from shipping but they hooked me up. Will order from again.

I was grabbing the last few boxes of ammo at the walmart I work at during the last few days of the election but I don't really buy much there otherwise

Fred Meyer or Sportsmans Warehouse. But one guy at Fred Meyer will order anything in his ammo book for you and call you when it gets in.
