It is for 7.62x39. It is the older style for the AKM or AK-47. Which is chambered in the round mentioned.

There is no AK chambered in 5.56mm, and 5.45mm mags are usually synthetics.

as for the OP, not certain as the pic quality is low but looking at the mag it looks like a standard 7.62X39 steel mag... possibly Chinese or yugo due to shape of the spine, but could be mistaken
