How do you think rounds get into the autoloader? Crew with lower body strength = more time required to do routine maintenance = overall lower combat effectiveness.This is not just loading ammunition into the vehicle but all manner of upkeep that a 45t to 60t vehicle requires.

Obviously even more applicable for working as crew for field and SP artillery, however there is no reason women couldn't serve within the Artillery as part of fire direction.

They fight in Stalingrad and very often use AA guns against tanks and infantry. They get overwhelmed by german, but had pretty impressive last stand. I've been on the mortar line once before and holy shit is was the most traumatic experience of my life, I didn't understand what the fuck was going on, I didn't understand what was being shouted, you had to work so fucking fast and you injure yourself on just about everything, I just about managed but Mortar lines are too fucking high stress for a woman, I assume it's the same for a battery

While certain jobs within both branches don't require much physical exertion, there are other positions and scenarios that are incredibly physically demanding. For example, both the 101st and 82nd utilize light artillery that must be rapidly set up and ready to fire following an air insertion or air drop. This process is challenging and requires heavy lifting from most of a howitzer's crew. Women will not be able to do this as quickly as men.

I'm less familiar with armor, but I imagine that loading will not be carried out as quickly by tank crewwomen (that didn't feel right to type). Also, certain aspects of maintenance are physically taxing, such as breaking track.

Another challenge is more social in nature--I'd be willing to bet that same-sex crews will naturally have better combat synergy within the tank/IFV when compared to those that are mixed-gender. Unfortunately, an all-female tank runs the risk of having a slower rate of fire and a worse maintenance record simply because the women are less capable of handling the physical aspects of tankery.

1. The German broad takes 7 seconds from retrieval of the round to when it's ready to fire. We don't see her retrieving the round since the .webm starts with it in her hands, but you can add at least another 3 seconds for that.

2. She can't swing a round like that in a full turret. Imagine trying to get a round loaded in combat when she's hitting the TC and gunner every time.
