Ebay is your place to be, my dude. Don't pay more than $60 w/o shipping for one, as if your size isn't currently listed for less than that, it'll pop up eventually.

This guy lists stuff all the time for cheap, and takes offers for less quite often. As do many others if you just ebay search: "afghanka"

I'm obviously not him.

ok goys, just got my Austrian m65 today. awesome jacket, but whats with the extremely baggy arms? I swear the sleeves are twice as wide at the elbows as they are at the shoulders, i feel like a fucking sugar glider.

Also, with m65's, is the hood supposed to be tucked straight down the back of the jacket? Or is it meant to be rolled up inside the collar? Or is changing between a puffy thick collar and a standard collar meant to be a feature?

Maybe I'm just a retarded cuck (which is probably the case, seeing as I'm not AMERICAN), but I honestly think the USAF blue/grey tigerstripe

pattern looks cool, at least in that early 00s Hollywood action film-esque "State-of-the-art urban camo from the future" sort of way.
This especially applies to the Tactical Flight Duty Uniform because it's covered in Velcro brand Velcro.

Anyone else know this feel?

Also, would the two Colombian sets in the picture be worth $50 w/o shipping?

As far as I can tell, they're locally produced m81 bdu's, not surplused ones, and the MFO badging is what really caught my eye.

Keep one, trade the other away to someone who's interested.

Don't browse /k/ at all so apologies if this topic has been covered before, but I encountered a situation today and this seemed like the best place to ask.

Recently medically retired after 5 years and some change in the Army. I kinda missed my ACU blouse. It's comfy, doesn't wrinkle, and has those pen pockets on the sleeve, I dunno. I took a newer OCP one, and completely sanitized it. Not just took off the tapes, I even took a seam tearer and removed the velcro where the tapes/rank should go. Left the SSI velcro there, threw a Voltron patch on the left arm and called it good, no flag or anything. I figured it was mine that I earned, I wasn't claiming any current ties to the military, and I wasn't wearing it as part of a uniform. Wore it today, and someone told me it was in poor taste.

If that dude just had a stick up his ass I can deal with him not liking me, but if it really was in poor taste obviously I should shelf it forever. What are your thoughts?
>>
>>32306434

Cool, thanks for the info.

As for the other stuff that I'm trying to get rid of here is the general list:

Auscamo pants, they are too small for me. Would fit someone 5'10 with a 30 inch waist.

3x 84 patter CF rucksacks all parts. 1x CF issue CADPAT tac vest. 1x CF issued CADPAT Ice jack and pants (would fit someone 6 foot tall medium build). 1x CF CADPAT patrol pack with extra bags to attach to the molly. 1x CF 64 pattern rucksack no frame, old condition. 2x CADPAT tunic and pants same fit as ice jacket. Just off the top of my head.

I have a few other odds and ends, its funny how much kit you pick up over the years that's not on your file.

If your question is if that 6-tone camo pattern experimental, then no. That is the 6-tone the US used to use, most notably during Desert Storm. I have heard it referred to as "Choc-chip" because of the small black dots on the tan base. Had to hunt some of that down for a Command & Conquer themed costume I did for Denver Comic Con this year.

But yeah, the army has totally been goofing around with desert camouflage patterns since as early as the tail end of the Vietnam war.

Like, you can hardly fit your arm through it or do you have trouble articulating and moving/raising it?

Because if it's the latter then that's just a problem with all commie winter coats.
If it's naturally really tight I would personally just get another one and sell the one you have, they aren't too expensive, mostly though because I don't know how to sew beyond basic repairs either.

According to the seller, who is very Polish:
>This was lighter, modified version of wz. 4652 - main differences are lack of inner lining (although inner nylon pockets are located in same spots), and chest pockets, as well as cuffs and epaulettes all have covered buttons (without national insignia). In addition, this camo has more of a flat appearance (less contrast between colors)

One would normally expect rich-ass Norwegians to have the latest and greatest stuff money can buy (case and point: even their conscripts are issued Ops-Core FAST helmets nowadays), so it's surprising to see their military's property tag on an unlined beret with a crappy oilcloth sweatband.

>Just got a three pack of East German combat packs, two East German utility fork/spoon combos, and a very comfy Belgian army black jacket with an extra liner
Neat. I've got a thing for small and handy little packs, and these DDR packs are pretty cool. I've never been too big on German Y straps but they're doable. I plan on using one of these DDR packs to replace an older Czech pack and a Finnish breadbag that I use for just carrying things around (usually keep the breadbag in my car so I don't look like I'm carrying a purse). They're quite nice and are only like $5 a piece before shipping.

You probably want the Gear Queer thread. I'd never recommend surp boots for all day wear.

Need a coat for winter, lads. Budget: >$100

Somewhat fashionable but doesn't scream military. Need it to be 2XL at least or my shoulders will stretch it at the top and the sleeves will get fugged.

Send help
>>
>>32318959
I used to wear that shit for 12 hours a day, it's not that bad.
>>
>>32318916
Yeah, I was getting nervous that someone here was going to bid too, but I figured your must not have seen it, because of you can jew a boonie for $50, a BIN of $45 for a set is nothing.

Turns out, he's only like 2 hours away from me, so I'm hoping I can drive up and sift through his piles, or better yet, sift through his source's piles.
>>
>>32319065
Boots in general or those swiss boots?

The sets are a lot more common than the boonies tho.

I wouldn't mind putting one in a trade but not for $20.

I'll keep that in mind.

Speaking of trades, have you ever been to Carolina Military Surplus & Supplies in Fayetteville? I see a big ole' wall of foreign kit, but I'm not sure any of its for sale unless you're buddy buddy with the owner.

Red Horse and Carolina seem like the only stores in NC that have ANY sort of exotic kit, but I feel like it's just for "display" Do you know of any other good NC shops? I'm planning on making a weekend trip up there some time soon.

Yeah? I guess all of my British friends and employees have just held off using the word pollock around me when referring to stupid shits like yourself.

The problem is making fun of you requires no imagination because there's nothing about you to make fun of that isn't a low hanging fruit. You're pathetic.

I really hope you realize the people in tank threads discuss the uses, strengths, weaknesses, and tactics that revolve around tanks whereas you and your faggoty band of fanny touchers collects shitty obscure camouflages without any usage of the camouflage that you actually own, nor do you employ it into anything other than a fashion uniform.

Nice attempt at an equivalence, though. It's really hard to have an argument without any knowledge but dammit you're trying.

Clothing isn't military equipment when being used in a fashionable way or else it wouldn't be acceptable in public. If you are buying it to incorporate it into the clothing you wear to school (because none of y'all are over the age of a school kid I can guarantee) then it belongs on /fa/. If you are using it and discussing the merits of its usefulness then it belongs in /gq/. This thread exists to serve no purpose other than namefags circle jerking about how much money they've wasted on shitty oudated uniforms that will only ever hang in their closet or be worn occasionally to school.

That's the perception only a retard would get. A large number of people in that thread talk about their standard mil-issue gear, their low price plate carriers, and their less-orthodox camouflages (desert night vision, woodland, AORs, etc.). There are people in there with fucking ALICE setups last time I checked. Several people there use RATNIK loadouts. The only difference is they actually use their shit for things other than photo ops and casual wear.

I really don't understand why you don't just hide surp threads. All you do is repeat yourself over and over again anyways. Stay upset, it really doesn't matter to us, or the mods that you're trying to convince.
