Well there are a few conventions you should be mindful of, blue means training prop, red/orange means less lethal, but not a huge deal.

It is absolutely autistic but not any more autistic than mix-matching colors like AR builders do, or glock shopping for cool frame colors like stealth gray.

Honestly, I used to agree with you, but after being at ranges long enough I'm tired of seeing fucking black guns or FDE guns. When I get a rifle built up for long range competitions I'm going to have it cerakoted professionally and I'll be using Maliwan Snipers from Borderlands 2 as inspiration.

I don't like the ones in the OP. That's my opinion. Now, here is some less subjective feedback:

1. It's what you don't paint that makes a paint job look well done. Even the horrible homemade bedliner paint job in this picture looks pretty good because they didn't paint over any of the detail parts like the logo or chrome mirrors etc..

2. Cerakote isn't bad in some colors but is in others. In the OP it looks like it's trying to copy anodized blue which makes it look like a "fake". Back to being subjective, Cerakote only looks good in colors not meant to be shiny like "snow camo white" and FDE or even black.

3. Other finishes will almost always looks better such as anodizing, bluing, plating or my personal favorite teflon impregnated nickel (aka. Robar NP3).

That's as honest and constructive as I can be OP.

See how on the white gun the screw heads are painted, the other little bits and levers are painted. It makes the whole paint job look rather haphazard and shitty compared to the factory one next to it that doesn't have those things painted.

2400 series, and I have a gunsmith right next to me that I took it to so that it got done correctly. I didn't trust myself not to fuck up my SCAR. There are tutorials on youtube on how to apply it, the most important part is the prep to make sure all surfaces are cleaned and ready for paint, and getting the curing temperature/time correct I would assume.
