Pic related. It's oversized and doesn't have a zipper, but it was a Christmas present and it's comfy as fuck so I don't really care.
this or a carhartt if its really cold

I have heat in my house, so I don't have to wear a jacket inside.

I've got an old Carhart jacket that works wonders. It is an overly long model that is no longer in production. I don't have a pick, but it is somewhere between regular carhart gear, a short trenchcoat, and a parka. Comfy as fuck with just the right amount of warmth and pockets.
Also have an ACU fleece for slightly warmer conditions. That is just the fucking best. Layering the carhart and fleece is just amazing for when it dips below 20.

Awesome as fuck but over played thanks to the hipster scene.

I want to get the Finnish one from Rothco since I like the lower pockets but I can hardly ever find anything that can fit my shoulders. I have to get 2XL everything so it won't be tight.

I picked up a Cabela’s Grand Teton GoreTex parka shell (black w/grey trim) last year for $70 on sale (regular $180) and the zip/button in insulated liner for $40 (regularly $80).
But last winter was so mild, that I only wore it once when snowblowing and it wasn’t even very cold outside.
Might have to break it out tomorrow, if the apocalyptic warning of snow here in Michigan is valid.

Make that $200 regular for the parka and $100 for the liner.
