Ordered an m16a1 kit from WhatACountry, as well as an A1 style receiver from NoDak, and then an a1 profile 20in barrel from Dez arms. The barrel doesn't come pinned and tapered for the front sight. I know rainer arms has a service where you can send your barrel to get drilled and tapered, or do they not work on the .625 diameter barrels? Anyone else I could send it to?

You could try to find a local gunsmith.

Already have, none have the equipment to do it locally.

Call Rainier and ask. They were helpful over the phone when I had a gas block pinning question.
Also they sent my barrel back UPS with signature required which was sort of annoying but understandable.

It's not hard dude. If you want me to run you through it I'll stick around for a while. You can do it with a cordless drill if you're careful.

I consider myself a pretty avid home gunsmith but I really don't want to screw this up. One day i'll get some cheap ass barrels to practice on and i'll buy a drill press and the reamers.

Feels pretty cool!
you know it does actually reduce friction and increase chambering speed right?

This is only half of what you need to do. You also need to get a vice and force the selector switch into the auto position.
