If MP44 came out today, how would it be received
>>32266953
Probably not very well since it'd be quite outdated compared to modern weaponry.
>>32266953
It would be chambered in .300 blackout which is bascailly the same as 8mm kurz
It would essentially be an AK in .300 meme out

I guess we'll find out
>>32266953
Terribly. It was made cutting all the corners. It's Fucking headspaced with lead. Really thin steel ive heard too.
>>32266953
Modern review would sound like this
>no extra mags included
>not milled
>wood stock
>very low to no polymer parts
>no upgrade options
>do not waste money on this
I want to thank copper customs and please visit our shop.

I work in the receiving department.
it will be received in the order it came in.
>>32267013
Or if Guns & Ammo reviewed it, they'd praise it.
>tfw had subscription to G&A only for the one to two articles per month that Gary James would write.
>>32266978
>It would essentially be an AK in .300 meme out
>Roller delayed blowback
>Grandfather of the CETME, CEAM, and HK Roller Delayed Blowback family of rifles
More like an HK33 clone in .300 blackout, which they already make under MAD Company
>>32266953
>would an 11.5 lb rifle with an underpowered cartridge and slow rate of fire made from last-ditch sheet metal stampings be received well today?
hmmm
>>32266953
It wouldn't be worth talking about other than how poorly it performs/was made. It's an amazing gun from a collectors standpoint and that's about it.
>>32267161
The STG44 isn't roller delayed blowback. That was the STG45(m).
>>32267013
You forgot
>Too heavy
>No rails
>Trigger not adjustable and heavy and creep and overtravel and mush
>A heavier AK-47 that shoots weaker ammo and beats itself apart
>>32267161
The StG was not roller delayed blowback. It had a long stroke gas piston and a tilting bolt.

Wouldn't 8mm Kurz be more similar to 7.62x39? Don't they have similar specs, as well as size?
(pls no bully)
>>32269068
Both 7.92x39mm and 7.62x39mm are very similar.
>>32269081
ok, so for a modern repro (like HMG is making) if I wanted to use a caliber closer to the original caliber, but didn't want to bust my ass paying for the original unobtanium caliber, I could just go for 7.62x39? or would it be better to get the original caliber? (muh historical accuracy)
>>32269131
I would say that 7.62x39mm is the better round, ballistically. But Prvi Partizan sells 7.92x33mm by 20-rounds for $11 a box
>>32266953
Too heavy, anemic cartridge
>>32269131
That picture is so sad
it humanizes wehrmacht soldaten but hey they killed americans
>>32266953
Have you ever held one? They're really heavy.
>>32270440
i seriously hope you're joking, kameraden
