Mil-spec doesn't exist in the civilian AK market. Cost effective also doesn't exist anymore. The least expensive that I would consider buying now are the Arsenal SLR series or converted Molot VEPRs.

Your only option is basicly vepr..i fell for the overpriced arsenal sam7 ak meme...vepr is best one u can get imo. Just convert it by drilling in bullet guide and filing le mag release and ur gtg. Or buy one alreadt converted

Then pay a smith to do it for you.
There really aren't any imports worthy of buying coming in right now. So hope for a loosening of import laws, buy secondhand, build, or pay a gunsmith.
