glock is the biggest meme in firearms. They're cheap guns that always go bang. That's all they are. Everything on them is terrible and made to be as cheap as possible. Yet people pay $400-500 for them. Many striker fired polymer guns are much better.

Somewhat. In Beretta's case, Italian made guns were the ones that developed slide cracks. The cracks were in part caused by overpressure (as in proof pressure) rounds being fired by the terms of thousands. That said, the US made M9s had no such problems.

I would be careful about repeating the quality control mantra the way that /k/ does. QC actually refers to checking the quality of the parts/assembly. People often use the term incorrectly to refer to the standards. Kind of like how people here use "tolerance" when they mean "clearance".

The same flaw with anything engineered in Germany. Over complicated designs that increase wear and failure points while providing no discernible advantage.
