California contributes nothing to the nation and only siphons taxes from honest, true Americans to pay for their degeneracy and social justice programs. That state is a literal black hole that is draining the prosperity of America. If we lopped it off the nation would be so much more wealthy and prosperous. The state takes in so much more in taxes than it gives, forcing the other states to pay more to pay for their shit. Nothing f value socially and economically is in there, so if you lopped it off the rest of the country would be so muhc more prosperous.

How do you thik they pay for all those welfare programs and "clean" energy bullshit and environmental programs and public education? They most certainly take from the federal government so much more than the other states. States in the midwest and south have to pay more in taxes to feed that bullshit while they reap the rewards of the country. Largest economy in the US my ass, with all their companies moving to Texas and Wyoming, theres no way anything of value is left there
>>
lol, good luck

When I moved out a month ago and trying to sell shit so I didn't have to transport so many guns, most places refused to do FFL or PPT transfers for long guns, just hand guns. They wanted the space to sell their own overpriced crap.

Some would do receivers if it was short enough though.

They have one of the highest state tax rates in the entire country for one, and as I said they are the largest state economy in the country.

They have the most absolute debt, and easily because they have the biggest state economy.

If you look at debt as a percentage of GDP, it's about average. California is 18.2, Texas is 17.3, Kentucky is 19.7.

Did you drop out of high school? Math like this should not be hard to comprehend.

You should probably do some fact checking before you make a claim like that. According to the IRS, California is a net exporter of tax dollars to the rest of the country. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $3 billion annually.

That's actually one of the reasons those Silicon Valley dimwits started that whole secession nonsense. It's the only reason that makes sense, and it's the reason that the Fed will never let secession happen. They don't want to lose the cash cow.

Not really. California has a lot of value, and in fact it's the 8th biggest economy in the world. However, their economy can't function without the US giving them considerable amounts of money as well, so if they were to leave it would be lose/lose for both economies. It's just unfortunate that SoCal gets to decide what happens to the rest of the state, so everyone gets cucked. And the beaners, of course.

Anons, I need your help right now. Please ignore all the shit posting, and let's focus on helping us CA anons get our "assault weapons" sorted out in time for this 1/1/2017 deadline.

Yesterday I bought 3 stirpped AR-15 lowers with the intent on registering 1 or 2. The guy at the gun store said that I'd have all of 2017 to finish the builds and register them as "Assault Weapons" if I should choose to do so.

But I'm reading on calguns right now, that what I was told was false, and that the builds need to be complete, with a bullet button, before 1/1/2017 in order to be able to register them as an AW.

>Can someone please help me make sense of this?

On the 15th I'm flying back to Texas for 2 weeks to see family for Christmas. When I return to California it will be December 30th, which means I will only have 2 days to do any last minute configurations and registrations, though buying any more lowers would be out of the equation due to the 10 day waiting period.

I'm panicking. Please help anons. I saw a tripfag named Greatcow in a previous thread the other night. I would really appreciate any help. Again, please ignore the trolls. Time isn't our friend at the moment.

They have to be built in bullet button configuration before 2017, bullet button guns become AWs on Jan 1 2017 and assembling one after that date is a crime. Also the DOJ will ask for photos of your gun when you send it in, at least the rumors go. I've heard of people not replying to requests for photos for voluntary registration, and getting a letter back later saying the gun was registered anyway. It depends how draconian they decide to make the regs, but it's going to be hard for them to prove anything happened without a warrant. Just an observation.

Basically. It's what everyone with half a brain cell counted on doing and talked about, while the ones with a whole brain cell realized spooks were listening.

If you're smart about it I wouldn't worry though. The DOJ might not even care about photos or documentation, seeing as they'll be inundated with hundreds of thousands of registrations to process.

My tits are becoming more calm. This article states that you can in fact buy stripped lowers in 2016 and register them in 2017 as AWs. And anon has a point, if photos of completed guns taken in 2016 were a requirement it would have been stated. Plus that gets real messy. It's easy to check if a gun was bought in 2016 though, and it sounds like that is the important thing - not that the build is complete.

Not necessarily. CA DOJ has done absolutely retarded shit like the Kasler list, where registered AWs on said list (added when DOJ determined that each bare AR/AK receiver was an AW just by model/manufacturer) couldn't have banned features or they were illegal contraband, registered or not. I believe they called them Type III AWs at the time, in order to differentiate them from the Roberti-Roos AW ban list from the '80s and the 2000 AWB, which were Type I and II AWs respectively.

We'll have to see what they do in this situation, but Kasler proves there's historical legal precedent for DOJ fuckery.

As someone old enough to have registered AW's from 2000, there was never a requirement for pics to be submitted. They MAY ask for barrel length and caliber but otherwise the pic requirement didn;t exist.

People need to stop speculating openly and giving the DOJ ideas.

The only thing Texas can do, legally, is split itself into 5 states.

DOJ have been asking for pics of certain c&r guns ever since registration of those was required a few years ago. Mostly just SKSes, but I've heard of some people get asked for shit that is obscure.

God why did they have to go from a totally badass name to a super faggy one?

Only in the sense that they labeled themselves "Democrats".

Sometime in the past the values of what it meant to be a "Democrat" and a "Republican" switched.

Ok so the way the law is written a bullet button is now an assault feature, so I don't think a stripped lower is necessarily an "assault weapon" if you intend to go featureless.

The deal with the registry is that BB-equpped ARs are now assault weapons as of Jan 1, so the registry is open again to grandfather those BB rifles in. The advantage to registering is that you can then go full baby-killing features including regular mag release because it's all an "assault weapon" anyway, but you're wide open to confiscation, etc.

If you go featureless, whether it's with the BB-reloaded (probably the better option of the two) or one of those hideous abortion grips, then you don't have to worry about any "assault weapon" legislation or registration. Look at the flowchart on calguns for how to do that.

In your position I would probably just go featureless. If I had a BB rifle already or something non-AR (for instance, my dad is still in CA, he has a big collection including a Tavor, and he's gonna be able to chop that stupid stock extender and fake can off) then I would maybe register one or two as an AW so I could go full-featured. Note that long guns are registered in the state of California so it's not like they won't know you have them.

My thinking is that featureless builds, especially on a rifle like the AR, are a moderate pain in the ass but still leave you with an unbannable rifle that can be converted back to full functionality in the event of SHTF or FEMA-camp uprising or whatever it is we have guns for in this country. I don't like the idea of owning a grandfathered illegal weapon that the state can confiscate, but I don't live in CA anymore so I don't have to worry about that shit.

Thank you so much for your advice anon.

My plan at the moment is to buy 3 BBs after work. When I go home to Texas for Christmas I will strip my AR that I left there and overnight everthing but its lower to myself in CA (legal to do since only the lower is considered a firearm).

In my 2 days leading up to 2017 I will install the BB on each gun, and then take turns putting the upper, the stock, and grip on each gun, thus rendering each into an AW and thus allowing me to register them as AWs.

I can build featureless after the fact, but I want to register 3 AWs because I can and this is my only time to do so.

Again, thank you.
>>
>>32252345
Buy before Dec 21, register as AW, have normal uncucked AR.
>>
>>32270177
To add, it can always be deregistered as an AW, but not re-registered as an AW.

Federally they give more than they take, but people who like to try to debunk the welfare queen may-may tend to forget about state taxes, state spending, and local spending.

CA does produce some stuff, but has to import a fuckton of water due to over-populated metropolises in the desert drinking it all at a rate that aquifers can't hope to keep up on. Then they pay some other place to drink it up and end up destroying that one too. Getting San Fran and LA to sink into the ocean would be perfect.

the states retain this power for themselves to be able to leave the union because it is a power not delegated or prohibited

yes slavery was unconstitutional even back then even if they didn't recognize that. the right to withdraw from the union is not prohibited, that war was unjust.
>>
>>32276156
If they wished to withdraw, they could have done so peacefully, instead of starting a shooting war. Much less kidnapping and press ganging Northerners in the same manner as the 1812 was fought.

You do realize you're defending kikes again?
The megaplantations, the ones with the most slaves and greatest political pull, were run by Jews, and the slave markets even kept Saturday for them not Sunday? That they were the 2% of the population telling everyone else to go die for them?
>>
>>32276165
Even before they were independent states or at least acknowledged by the world that they were, they were already exercising powers we associate with sovereignty, massachetts, conneticut and south Carolina outfitted ships against the british. it was the troops of conneticut that took Ticonderoga. new hampshire was the executive authorized to issue letters of marque and reprisal. 1776 it was declared that the crime of treason would be thought of being perpetrated not against the states united into an indivisible blob but against the state’s individually. Article 2 of the articles of confederation says that the states “retain their sovereignty, freedom, and independence” and of course you can’t retain something if you don’t have it in the first place. The ratification of the constitution was carried out not by a single national vote of mythical American people it was carried out one state at a time because that’s what the united states was, a collection of society’s that’s’ why the constitution refers to the united states consistently in the plural.

If you want to register do it. If you bought after 2014 you're already in a registry. Edgy retards on this board are going to say to not comply but they've never had to deal with California where police and the DA will absolutely try to put you in prison for no reason other than being a gun owner. There were multiple cases where gun owners were arrested and held for trial until California DOJ issued a statement that the bullet button was legal.
