I have this idea for a firearm and I wanted to run it by you guys before I sell it to the major firearm makers (Glock, Beretta etc).

What about an auto aim? The heart has its own electromagnetic field. Taking advantage of this you could implement a system that's an IRL auto aim for the heart. The technology would be in the firearm and the ammunition itself.

Does /k/ approve?

If you can't build a working model yourself, you have zero hope selling the 'idea'

The next thing you'll say is "I can't tell you guys the details of how it works because it isn't patented yet" but the reality is that ideas and patents are basically worthless, patents are only slightly worth it if you're a hyuuuuge company and can afford suing people into the ground for infringement.

You have a vague idea for a system that would fire the gun when it is aimed at a heart. You know nothing about the tech or engineering required beyond that, and that is why you will accomplish nothing.

Doesn't work.

1) you're a retard (let's just get this out of the way)
2) hearts electricmag field is very weak
3) ambient Emag noise is very strong in relation to hearts emag field
4) emag sensor of this sensitivity would definitely not be man mobile, and probably won't be light vehicle mobile
5) you shoukd not have faikedyour physics 2 class
>>
Why bother trying to detect the extremely weak EMF that a heart gives off? A much easier way to do this would be to use FLIR coupled with image recognition software.

Whatever electrical signature produced by the heart is so insignificant, it would require a specially designed room and a building full of lab equipment to detect it from a distance. In a real world environment, any source of electromagnetic radiation would make detecting an individual human, from his heart beat, completely infeasible.

1) many EM fields will not be your targets heart
2) somebody has to shoot the gun and if they can't shoot for shit in the first place, they will still miss
3) "smart ammo" is not some shit you can throw in a handgun and will not magically hit the target from a poor initial shot
4) how is the gun going to give the user feedback on where to aim... And at that why not just use the sights?
5) nobody can afford this shit besides the military
many more problems but I'll stop there because this is b8 anyways.

Heart contraction initiated by depolarization of the sinoatrial node (which causes atrial systole) creates very measurable dipoles. Furthermore due to the intricate coordination in the electrical conduction system of the heart, I'm sure someone with relevant engineering qualifications could create a device that picks up on these very specific dipoles and thus ignoring the chaotic electrical field given off by everything else that isn't living (i.e electrical towers).

Short answer: No.

Nice trips.

On an unrelated note, a troll thread is like brownies: it's easy to make and everybody loves it/wants some... until they don't and end up puking on the ground.

If you can't hit a moving target center mass at fifteen feet then you are not a soldier.

No soldier needs any help hitting a target fifteen feet away.

Instead of an aimbot, make a real AIMBOT -- a gun-mounted, mobile weapon platform controlled remotely or programmed autonomously, with the auto-aiming bullshit built into *that* -- and just spend a small fraction of what you would've spent implementing infantry-wide adoption of this silly gimmick instead into fundamental marksmanship training.
