It's bad enough states give cops special privileges like California letting cops buy off roster guns, but this takes the whole "rules for thee not for me" bullshit to a new level.

Meanwhile we plebs have to fight tooth and nail to try and get national carry license reciprocity even though driving licences and marriage licenses have to be accepted by all states.

In my country I am allowed to open carry a rifle, but noone does it and I live in the sticks. I've never felt a need for or fear of a rifle outside of a single encounter with a person who thought I was a bear. The only pistol owners are competition shooters, and those calibers of ammunition are sold sparingly and not without reason.

If someone asked me to stop carrying a knife around, I'd give them a Stern talking to about how it's a tool and tell them they can get fucked, but I can understand people not wanting guns in their place of business. It's their choice, and your choice to avoid them if you feel you do / don't have to comply.
