Pretty sure i almost got stabbed by a homeless guy once. Out walking the dog, pass some bum, stop for a second because my shoe came untied. As I finish tying it dog just flips around and starts barking at something behind me, I turn around and it's the same homeless guy I passed a minute ago. OP here. Update:
Just got a call from the officer I spoke with earlier. They picked up 3 guys matching the description I gave.

Apparently one of them had a switch-blade, which is illegal to conceal in my state. I need to head down to make a positive identification.

Along with concealing an illegal weapon, they could charge the guy and his friends for attempted assault and battery with a deadly weapon because the other guys had pocket knives with "suspicious lengths", whatever that means.

Well, I'm back from the police station. It was definitely the guys I had the pleasure of meeting previously.

They're being charged with all sorts of shit. Even little shit that didn't really matter compared to the much bigger charges. Apparently one of them ratted out the others for a deal. They've been doing this shit for months.

The officer told me I did a great job helping them get these guys off the streets and he let me meet the chief. He shook my hand, and told me if I needed anything, to let him know. Apparently they'll come up with some accommodation before Christmas.

He also said he'd call my CO tomorrow and tell him how good I did.

I'm feeling pretty good right now.

Shooting guys for walking is illegal. You can't just shoot because because you think they are up to no good. They actually have to do something to justify it.

I conceal carry and fear that one day I will have to actually draw and shoot. I carry illegally because of my fucking god awful state gun laws. They turn down almost every App that comes in.

I know that if I defend myself I will be going to prison. They will say that I was carrying illegally with intent to kill or some other lib bullshit. I have a feeling that even if I were to stop an active shooter I would still be labeled a criminal and sent to prison.

Anyone else do this? Anyone have any stories of having to draw when carrying illegally?
