Guns are loud and distracting, the purpose is more of a vehicle stopper then anything else. I rather shoot a bolt at a tire of a shitty driver then threaten their life with a shotgun.

Why would you try to try to put a bolt though a tire and probably miss when you could put a slug into an engine block or rad and definatly shut that car down

Also, under what circumstances would you ever need to disable a vehicle?

How about when your car gets scrapped up daily when you have junkies on the road trying to squeeze in with traffic jams. Its not like they have insurance, they just scrap up your car and drive off without giving a fuck. Yes you can easily put a solid slug through the engine block and would definitely disable the vehicle. But the only distance i am covering is when they are right beside me. I rather see them drive off with a popped tire knowing they will have to change it immediately if not in the near future. I dont have the need to disable anyones vehicle i just have the preference for it.
