Yeah, thats exactly how i feel.... 9mm added ammo cap is great. But yeah.. it feels wrong.
.45 should be fine for personal defense right ? I've never had an issue handing it before. Sure im quicker with a 9mm but i feel more comforatble with a .45 and i know the ins and outs of USP

I prefer the fuddy five in the case. Im not one to get into caliber wars either, I like them all and think they all have a purpose
but goddamn the .45 is just sweet in the USP. there are tons of universally acceptable 9mms but not as many .45s. The USP is one of them and for good reason. You could get it in 9mm, but you could get another HK, sig, beretta, ect in 9mm too. The .45 is a special package

Good luck with that. Nobody makes a conversion barrel, and the 10mm would have problems with the .45 magazines and breech face even I felt you custom made a conversion barrel.
