To be honest, one of the thing that most warms my heart about this event is how in all of these threads, there's barely anyone trying to stir up shit or be a jackass. Pic related is what I'm making, I'm not only making one, I'm going to make three of different designs. It's very hard for me because my "shop" is basically a table with a rasp, knife, file, sandpaper, and hand drill, but it's working out well. It's a lockback folder, with osage orange blade, back, and pins, walnut sapwood and walnut heartwood scales. I cut all this wood myself off my own property too and let it dry for a year or two after splitting into rails.

I'm going to have to remake the blade and lockback part of it though for the 4th time, not exaggerating, as I can't quite seem to get the lockup right. The design is by John Heinz, a rather popular woodworker on youtube, my other ones are going to be original, just wanted to get used to such small scale woodworking with the first one.
