How do people buy a gun as children? Did your parents buy it for you? Or was it some deep south backwoods private sale where both parties didn't care about the law?

I went in and gave the cashier the money and just had my mom do the 4473

This Chinese SKS for $200 cash. A friend needed money to fly to California to "DO VIDEO GAME DESIGN". Needless to say he was homeless within a month and returned half a year later after failing to even install the Unity engine on his laptop.

Those guns used to be one of the best kept secrets around, since so many people overlooked them because they couldn't fire .357.
>>32224894
that's why you never sell your guns, you'll always regret it. if i ever have kids and i find out one of them sells my M1 or something i will rise from the grave
>>32225248
That's not always true, I've sold a few guns and not been upset about it. I've always made sure to reinvest in another gun with that money.
>>32225300
i think the only way id part with one is if i just absolutely hated it, when i got my Ar i wasn't crazy about it at first but over time i have come to really like it
>>32225248
I can at least agree that selling your first gun is a bad idea unless you bought something like a Taurus, Jimenez, or Hi-Point.
>>32224524
Shit that Chinese mag could be close to what you paid for the whole thing. Great deal
>>32224667
Sexy. fellow Canada anon, going to get my restricted when I have to re new my PAL. Don't really have a reason to have them and it sucks only allowed to the range with them. Ever risk bringing it out in the bush?
>>32225365
Yeah it was a great deal. I could easily sell the magazine on gunbroker for $100.
>>32225325
yeah I sold my AR after Sandy hook, had been trying to sell for about 6 mos, couldn't get a decent price, day after the shooting went to gun show got double what I paid for it. Bought 12 ga, glock 32, p238 extra mags and ammo. Also sold Ruger p95.
I was 14 when my dad bought me a Marlin 795. Love that thing. No idea how much he paid, but my guess is around $150, since that's what they go for now.
The first gun I bought myself was a Remington 11-87 from a pawnshop for $350, right when I turned 18.

Brno VZ24
Bought it on New Years eve last year, when I was 19.
Didnt expect to buy a gun that day, only to just look.
Bushmaster XM-15. 16" carbine. Had a FFS but a rear MBUS when those were just coming onto the market.
Shot it a few times then sold it towards a LE6920. Never looked back.

So those 20 round magazines... are those rare or something. Saw one at my LGS, thought it was bubba'd
>>32223809
My best friend did the exact same thing and got the exact same gun. Still keeps it in his center console 6 years later.
>>32224494

Jesus Christ I got fucked over so hard when I bought my Glock.
I also got a 19 gen 4, but I paid 668 fucking doll hairs for it. I just pulled out the receipt to check.
I made the mistake of buying through a lgs instead of online since his prices were right in line with everywhere else at the time (right around $550), but they ordered mine with Talo tritium night sights """by accident""" and I forgot about sales tax since every other gun I'd bought up to that point I bought online and had shipped to a different ffl that does $15 transfers.
The sights are nice and all, but god damn I don't even know why I didn't just walk out when they told me that was the total. When I told them I didn't order those sights they knocked a few bucks off to get to that price too.
But anyway, to answer the OP, it depends on what you consider a gun. The first things I had to fill out a 4473 for were a couple of AR lowers, but I got a Ruger LC9s before I finished building those lowers into complete rifles.

I paid $535 because I figured shipping is like $20 and transfer fee is around $25 and I'm impatient.
I think u can get them for around $500 online
>>32227004
Also mine was $535 price tag and like $580 with tax so $668 with night sites isn't bad especially with transfer fee

What's it like being 63 years old?
Mauser 98k, Russian capture in really good shape. Non matching, but also no electro pencil bullshit. Bore was excellent, action smooth, wood solid. Eventually collected a sight hood, cleaning rod, and bayonet.
I was 16.
It cost $325.
I treasure it to this day.
