I'm actually looking into getting the same model but in kit version. I hear the triggers are pretty crappy is it true?

Beautiful rifle. Is that an 1861 Springfield with a blued barrel?
>>32223957

What's the one in the middle?
Found this old CVA mountain rifle kit at a garage sale. Found out it was an early one with a Douglas barrel. Put it together and it is a fine shooter.

Made a tomahawk, patch knife and possibles bag to go with it.

As much as I like shooting muzzleloaders, BP cartridge shooting is fun too. Rifle, pistol and shotgun.

>>32225106

>>32225133
sexy as fuck, what type of SAA is that?
>>32225536
id say that would be a fucking badass first muzzleloader. you would certainly be the only person at the range with one

It's an Uberti Cattleman in .45 Colt that I tricked out to a Duke special
>>32225725
bitchin', do you shoot blackpowder out of it for authenticity? or cowboy action shoots? is the quality pretty good on it? ive been wanting a SAA and uberti was one of the brands i was looking at.
>>32225926
I do shoot BP in it. .45 Colt is easy to load BP. I got the cattleman because it was the closest match to my real Colt SAA that I didn't want to take to the range all the time anymore. Once I removed the extra safeties from the Uberti it functions and shoots just like my Colt.

I built mine from a kit, it's not bad, I fitted mine with a return spring so it doesn't flop around when it's not cocked.

Bought the leather at Tandy. The hawk head and shaft came unfinished from Log Cabin shop. The knife I ground from an old file. The scales for the knife were some some scrap maple I had. Seed beads can be ordered from just about anywhere.

The trick to hand stitching leather is to invest in a pounce wheel to space the stitches out.
