Given the choice between a HK45 and USP 45, which one would you pick?
>>32221397
For what purpose?
USPc is shorter and thinner than HK45C so i'd rather cc that.
If you wanna into solid snakeper8ing USP is the official gun for that.
I remember hearing about some sort of issue with the HK45 with SOCOM, I think it was the HK45CT (compact with suppressor sights, threaded barrel and extended mag).
USP is older so there's more used market available and it's more refined, Last I checked on armslist they were going for about the same.

Edit: 45 is SAO and USP can be SA/DA, and the reset on the 45 is fuckhueg
>>32221564
If I wanted an "offensive handgun" why wouldn't you get a Mk23?
>>32221564
The HK45 is not SAO
I don't know much about HK45s, but doesn't the USP have a more robust aftermarket? If you care about that sort of thing, then maybe the USP is the better choice.
I was easily able to find parts to give a more positive reset and crisper break for my USP, not sure if the same is available to the HK45.

You can get match trigger stuff for the hk45 too from hkparts
>>32221646
Oh nice.
Well then get whatever gun feels better in your hand, OP.
>>32221681
There you go.
had both just have the hk45 now, I like the looks of the usp a bit better but the hk45 is deff a better shooter
>>32221397
I would pick the USP and not just because I like acronyms desu lol.
The grip panels are nice but they can Creek and the USP is the gun of Jack Bauer.
I actually had serious concerns over how J.B. dgaf about people's Constitutional rights desu. IMO it was authoritarian propaganda iirc roll, idk.
ttyl
ps you can get an hk match grade trigger for USP from hk.

USP

>USP
When you're dealing with a 12+1 or a 10+1 capacity, that extra 2 rounds of the USP matters to me. Also, USP is battle proven. And looks better imho. That's about it.

I owned a p30L and own a p2000.
From what I can gather, HK has the best barrels in the world but their triggers are "combat" trigger tier, meaning they're made to avoid ND's rather than to be nice shooting. That's not good for most sport shooting enthusiasts. As far as I know the USP is their one gun that people like to make into a match or competition "race gun".
That's the primary reason I would choose the USP because I actually think the hk45 looks a lot sexier.

I.. I can't even..
OP run far far from here
>>32225857
>meaning they're made to avoid ND's
forgot to mention they also have much heavier than needed hammer springs to make damn sure that primer gets struck hard each time.
I replaced the 14lb factory spring in my p2000 with a 10lb Wolff spring; noticeable improvement.
So far I've shot
>1 box Tulammo
>1 box PPU (Serbian ammo)
>1 box magtech
>4 boxes Midwest Industries remanufactured ammo
>3 boxes of Hornady Critical Defense
So far there are no problems.
I would get the HK USP and order the match grade hammer kit directly from HK, put the Wolff 10lb spring it and call it a day.
You could also go really crazy and have grayguns do a trigger job on it for like $315 where they teflon coat all the insides and do some other over the top crap.

V1 isn't but there are configurations of the gun that are SAO
USP 45.
Cheaper, 2 more rounds, looks and feels better imo.
>>32221397
I chose the USP45 over the HK45 because you can get more gun for cheaper. I also don't care about carrying it or putting a light on it too much.
>>32221551
Looks better as well.
>>32221397
the HK45 because its worth more and i can sell it and buy more glocks than with the USP
>>32221551
The C models are not thinner, they only say they are thinner because of the switches. The HK models are thinner overall and take up less volume.
>>32221397
A lot of people in here are talking about aftermarket, and those people are idiots.
The USP doesn't have a good aftermarket unless you want CC holsters without lights.
If you want to put a light on the gun and have an OC setup then the Hk45 is the way to go. It is very difficult to find good OWB paddel hoslters that are light bearing for the USP if you use the TLR-3 or the GG&G rail.

Not OP, but in terms of reliability and durability, is the USP superior? A lot of sites say that the USP is just a scaled down version of the Mk23, and the Mk23 is extremely overbuilt. There's probably a minimal difference but I want other opinions.
>>32230754
They both have the same service life on their springs as far as I know. The USP has been around longer for people to see how much abuse it can take.
>>32221397
Beretta and CZ obviously.
>>32230829
>>32221681
Beretta 92 it is then
Fnx 45 or you're wrong.
