Are double mags a meme?
Are they actually practical?
do they work?

Maybe

You can make double mags literally with one or two matchboxes and ducktape.

I am aware.
Is it practical to tape 2 mags together to speed up a single reload?
>>32220845
Yeah, it's quite fast when using my AK.
I just don't practise it because it looks quite ugly IMO.

I think in the 80's it's when mag pouches were bulky and hard to access this would have been better than trying to reload from a pouch. Now days it's much easier to perform a reload from the more ergonomic mag pouches.
I could see this being easier for ak reloads since you use your off hand to drop mags and its already near the mag well.
Do whatever you like and works out for you man.
I've been thinking about taping two magazines together. If someone broke in my house I'm not going to throw on a chest rig and I may not have pockets for a second magazine. I could just put one double mag in my rifle and not worry about the second magazine.

If thirty round isn't enough for you in a home defence scenario then I'm afraid an additional thirty rounds isn't going to solve your problems
Do you even high capacity

It's to make room for the oncoming erection.

This same logic is why people try to ban 30rd mags
>If 20 isn't
>If 10
>If 5

This.
I feel like double mags are fine for a situation in which you do not have any load bearing gear. Like if you put it on your truck gun for a road trip or something.
I did this with my Ruger 10/22's 25rd mags, before I got an N-PAP. Having only the 10/22 at the time, I think it's a nice idea on such a small, light platform.

If a muzzle loader won't...
Am I doin it right?
