You really should had grabbed the Hescos from US palm at $100 per plate. Would have saved 1lb per plate over the Highcoms, and about $150. Sorry I didn't let you know, skipped my mind.

Yeah the HSGI isn't all that big. It isn't a micro IFAK pouch but definitely on the smaller size. I still haven't tried to stuff it yet. It certainly won't hold a tourniquet on the inside.

The Patriot Armor ceramics look a little less legit and I can't find any testing videos, but they are a about 2 lbs lighter per plate than the Hescos. That is an extra 4 full rifle mags, or two more liters of water.

All of these are key points, which is why they are measured in NIJ testing labs.

If you want to watch level 4 plates defeat M193 all day its pretty fine for that but for the most part you are better off looking at NIJ ratings.

Once the NIJ puts their seal of approval on something thats it. their testing is going to be far more controlled than something you'll find on you tube. if its a lvl 4 plate from a reputable manufactuer you'll be really fuckig impressed by what you see.

I run the HSGI on mine and can easily fit a celox zfold, TQ and sterile gauze. You can fit a hebrew dressing in there should you so desire. In my "operating" pack I carry a slightly more complete setup and some more dressings and TQs.

Alright cunts, you fags heckled me about not going to the range (it took way too long) so I'm gonna give a report. The irons were needing some right trim on the windage, but were good at elevation at 100yards and out.

On my first 40 or so rounds, I had a handful of light primer strikes. Almost no indent, and I could reload the same round and shot fine. Definitive primer marks on the good ammo. Often times it would fail on the first shot that I chambered, maybe being an indication it wasn't going into battery. I now suspect this being because the chamber is fucking gross.

Out of my 18" my 55gr was doing 2930 - 2960 fps very consistently, and green tip was doing very close to 3000. My friend then proceeded to shoot his chrono.

I think I want to buy a leupold Mark ar 3-9.

They are stupid expensive, and they aren't as effective as the Silencerco Omega about 4db louder.

The benefit they say is that you get much less blowback due to the design and it lowers the chance of failures as well as keeping the suppressor cooler longer. Seems like a better options for DI Full Auto.

Why do I even have a collapsible stock? The first thing I do is pull it fully out when I shoot. You can get a normal stock that weighs less and is more sturdy. Probably only good for the military when you want to buy an order for 50,000 that works for all sizes.

The only SI stuff I find somewhat appealing is the polymer dust cover and the J-Comp. The poly dust cover looks and installs so much better than the mil-spec crap however, it ain't even in the same universe as the V7 offering.

It's a good, if overpriced, mid-level BCG. It does clean easily, but keep it lubed. I have the Mystic Black and the Bronze. Both will wear if you don't consistently keep them lubricated, and when that happens you lose the benefits of a coating entirely. Remember, that low CoF only applies if the coating is still on.

You will recognize no difference in the Black and Bronze as far as day to day performance goes, despite the numbers. I would say go with this if you want shininess or colors. Look elsewhere for better performance.

I would rate these BCGs higher or on-par with Toolcraft. For the price, the $100+ doesn't make sense when you get can get a FailZero for less. Not at home, so I can't post a pic, but I've got receipts from the $275 Black and $250 bronze. The Black wore down after (many) rounds, even lubed. Bronze is starting to show wear now as well. I would wager that I shoot more than most of /arg/ though.

I just like guns. I like my AR better because its so modular. I think the AK would be badass if it gets to be as modular as the AR. But really, everything else falls short of the AR simply because of modulation, even modern weapons like the SCAR.

What I think the difference is, an ARfag can probably buy a better part to fix a flaw, while everyone else is stuck with what the factory sent them. Probably why everyone else ends up with a inflamed anus.

The reason I got the muzzle brake has everything to do with the fact that it reduces recoil by over 70% when compared to a bare muzzle.
