The pins solid pins and steel, flared out on the bottoms to hold it in place which means it's not accessible unless you want to punch them out and reflare them when you reinstall

The aluminum body of the CH is solid on the back instead of cut all the way through which I like. It's an easy to use CH

Alright cunts, you fags heckled me about not going to the range (it took way too long) so I'm gonna give a report. The irons were needing some right trim on the windage, but were good at elevation at 100yards and out.

On my first 40 or so rounds, I had a handful of light primer strikes. Almost no indent, and I could reload the same round and shot fine. Definitive primer marks on the good ammo. Often times it would fail on the first shot that I chambered, maybe being an indication it wasn't going into battery.

Out of my 18" my 55gr was doing 2930 - 2960 fps very consistently, and green tip was doing very close to 3000. My friend then proceeded to shoot his chrono.

I think I want to buy a leupold Mark ar 3-9.

I don't have any experience with the gen2, but if it's at all similar to the original in terms of strength and rigidity I say go for it. The UBR is basically a fixed stock in terms of how solid it is, I like it a lot.

1x optics definately fill a specific POU. I'm more long range personally so I like more magnification. Try to see if you could possibly demo or at least finger both and determine your POU then decide if the cost difference is feasible. Both are fantastic optics.

I always have trouble with rust on poorly parkerized milspec AR parts like the dust cover, selector, castle nut, and FA, so I got it for peace of mind more than anything, because I hate seeing rust. I also got the dust cover which is a nice part too.

The factory selector and castle but are nitrided so I don't think I need to worry about them. The only other part I'm concerned about is the bolt release, but those parts are proprietary so there's nothing I can do there.

Really like this rifle so far though

boom there you go many 20 bucks will get you a belt. Its not the best, but it will give you an idea if you like using a sub belt. If you like it you can upgrade to a better belt. Eagle industries makes bomb proof gear.

Thanks. I would mount it behind the scope but it doesn't have much eye relief. I haven't shot ARs very much. I built this to practice with and maybe varmint hunt. It is a 20 inch barrel so the sight radius should still be effective.

I have an A2 build kit I'm going to install on another lower. The lower I have now has the castle nut nicely staked so I'd rather not undo that to install the rifle tube.

Ambi CH was included with the upper for free, I think PSA ran out of normal ones?

If the reason you mounted them to the side is speed in high stress situations, a red dot is much faster and easier to use.

Windham Weaponry is a lot better. They're basically the AR division of Bushmaster that split off a couple years back.
