What is worse than a gun addiction? I currently own 6 guns and I want to buy 3 - 4 more
>>
>>32207836
And how many rounds do you have for said 6 guns?
>>
>>32207836
>What is worse than a gun addiction?
Not having a gun addiction.
Any other kind of addiction.
Being a liberal.
Being a no guns bitch.

That's enough justification.
>>
I forget how many I own and its not enough.
>>
>>32207851
*PHEW* good thing im none of those. Reason being I posted this thread is because my parents and my 2nd oldest sister is giving me shit haha
>>
>>32207836
I own 17. I don't consider it an addiction, any more than having the equivalent value in money would be considered a money addiction.
>>
>>32207847
I have a duffle bag full of mixed amount of rounds.
>>
>>32207836
i have around 70 or 80 firearms. if you can support it and you like it, it's not like it hurts anything.
>>
>>32207908
What's the point? You can't use them all.
>>
>>32207930
i most certainly have shot all of them barring one. do you mean simultaneously? then why buy more than two guns, or more than one car?

they are all unique and different, generally by feature or mechanism. the exception being the clones i made of specific guns.

This, someone needs to tell FN to add these to their legacy line, instead of another AR15 that nobody asked for. Because when people think of classic FN, they think of AR's
>>
>>32208169
Its even a bummer that the FS2000 is discontinued as well.
>>
>>32208169
Hell if FN wont do it, then they should let DSA make it under license and still make profit under it.
>>
>>32207836
The only worst thing to a gun addiction is a money problem no being able to fulfill the addiction.

I actually have seven guns. I have a list of guns i want, mostly expensive rifles. I will probably drop more than 7,000 USD next year just on guns, not even ammo. Fuck sacks i drop 4,000 plus on one gun went i walked into a gun shop to just buy ammo.

Oh, never tell your girlfriend and or wife either. I can't imagine the rash of shit i would get
>>
>>32207836
>What is worse than a gun addiction?
Holocaust addiction. Inflate dem figures. Oy vey.
>>
>>32207836
I've got 18 guns now and only started 5 or so years ago with a mosin. My issue is that whenever I buy one and get it fitted how I like I'm immediately looking for the next project. Bigfest downside is I don't get to shoot them enough because either time or lack of motivation due to depression. I spent about 1200 on gun related stuff for black Friday.
>>
>>32207836
What's worse than having a gun addiction is having a gun addiction when you're only making 34k/year, have 4k in cc debt and have to pay rent.

I'm REALLY itching to buy one of those Bulgarian Makarovs but I'm fighting it.
>>
>>32208713
Just buy one. You're gonna get one in the future, right?? May as well save $100 and get one now.
>>
>>32207836
>I currently own 6 guns
That's really not much. It's like
>2 centerfire handguns
>1 .22 pistol
>1 .22 rifle
>1 shotgun
>1 centerfire rifle.

Not being able to shoot the guns you do own because you don't have connections with farmers nor are there any 1000 yard ranges less than 200 miles away.
>>
>>32207930
I can't play with all my hotwheels at the same time either, but I still have a collection of over 500 hot wheels cars and dozens of players and over 40 feet of track.
>>
>>32208920
Playsets, not players
>>
>>32207836
it's only an addiction if you take out a loan to buy a gun, or starve yourself for weeks to afford ammo.
>>
>>32207836
That's hardly addictive unless you can't handle your finances.

10 or less is a rarther modest collection. What guns do you have now and what guns are you looking at?

>>32207930
Some people collect.
I would have precious little use for a KG99 or SPAS12 but hell if they wouldn't be cool to have.

>>32208220
Do you have some kind of disorder or something, why are you bringing this up here for no reason?
>>
>>32207836
I currently own 98 (started a thread a week or so ago when I was at 97 guns). I literally have no idea why I buy so many guns. I really like history and a large portion of my collection is dedicated to milsurp. I also like collecting various AK variants from different countries.
>>
>>32208920
How's the business of collecting toys?

Collectors on /vr/ cry constantly over paying $50 for an NES game as if it's a lot of money, and blames YouTube for the fact that you can't buy them at a dollar a piece like 15 years ago.
>>
>>32208951
>for no reason
Juden, pls.
>>
>>32208976
That is pretty impressive, I assume you make good money and have a vault or other secure place to store it all?

Do you have a family picture?
>>
>>32208979
>$50 on shitty electronics they are on their last legs and will shit out soon
>$200 on a rifle that has killed men and will never break in your grandchildrens lifetime

Which is a better investment?
>>
I have 6 rifles, 1 shotgun, and 2 pistols

Adding my first AR to the collection, and I want a revolver as well. Don't know if I'll buy many more after that
>>
>>32208990
Oh, I get it, you're CTR.

How long are they gonna keep paying you? Don't you want a real job?

In their defense, the serious collectors will maintain their games and systems.

If you carefully clean the contacts and replace worn connector pins, an NES will be like new (the same applies for cartridges, even save batteries can be replaced), hell, there's kits you can get to retrofit the front-loading so you just stick the game in at a straight angle, rather than dealing with the whole springloaded tilting assembly that's flimsy and liable to wear out pin connectors on both your NES and cartridges.

I mean, if it's a subject they care for, fair enough, I won't argue with that, I love vidya so I see the appeal, but if you have a rage aneurysm because you found someone selling a Duck Hunt / Super Mario cartridge for $3, then maybe you're not quite financially stable to be a collector.

I'll agree though that a gun is a more solid investment (you can't emulate guns), a Ruger Security Six can be as little as $280 and the thing is built like a tank with a lockup like a bank-vault, you can pass it down for generations.
>>
>>32207836
Cars or motorcycles, if you're talking about addiction from a financial standpoint.
>>
>>32207836
6 GUNS? Nigger, ill be lucky to even buy 4 in my life time, because im so poor.

And i work 7 days a week.

I wish i had 6 guns.

>4k CC debt
You're basically an idiot who has a debt load that will keep growing and will crush you. You're current high interest CC debt is more than 10% of your income. Second, you're income is pretty low, so you're going to struggle to make minimum payments as time goes on.

1. cut up those cards
2. get a second job
3. take all of the income from the second job and pay off those card. Sell stuff you have and don't use to get that debt paid off quicker.
4. A year later, learn responsible use of credit.

The path you're on is one where you live from paycheck to paycheck, where bankruptcy something you're headed towards. The rate you're going, you will find it harder to borrow money at lower rates (for something like a car) as your debt to income ratio grows.

tl;dr don't buy the gun, pay off your cancerous debt.
>>
>>32209228
And that's how you get further and further into debt
>>
>>32209228
>but there's always that will-it-ever-be-available-at-that-same-price factor. Fuck

But, for you, it's not that price. It's costing you 2.5x as much. Why? You're paying 19%+ when you finance it and it adds to the debt you're carrying.

It's like you don't understand the basics of money, saving, the cost of credit....
>>
>>32207836
>only owns 6
>thinks there's a problem
>>
>>32209261
Damn, you're right. But I do pay well over the minimum on my cards. Its my girl and I living together and we make 47k combined, so we're pretty comfy. But yeah, that interest is fucking me pretty hard.
>>
>>32207836
>6 guns
>addiction

El oh el.
>>
>>32209068
What's a good price on a Security Six that is in decent condition (wear on the finish but internals in good condition)?
>>
>>32209301
Everything you make that isn't going to rent, etc should be going to pay off that debt.
>>
10 guns? Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. You're so funny.
My biggest fear is when I get hit by a bus, my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.
>>
>>32209261
>1. cut up those cards
>2. get a second job
>3. take all of the income from the second job and pay off those card. Sell stuff you have and don't use to get that debt paid off quicker.

This.
>>
>>32209301
>But I do pay well over the minimum on my cards
You're still paying on debt and you're still charging. Financial cancer. That's what debt is, financial cancer. It's high interest financial cancer too. If you don't have $4k in the bank, then you're not living comfortably. You're just barely surviving. You don't even have two months of earnings in savings. You're treading water with cinder blocks attached to your feet. You're about to be sucked under.
>>
>>32209228
Bersa Thunders are similar and are similarly affordable, it will have that price still when you have cleared your debt.
>>
>>32209313
I'd say about $350, though it can go for lower.
>>
>>32209313
Also depends on how worn the finish is.
If just a bit of holster wear then maybe $350, then progressively less if there's a lot of holster wear, or if the finish has some bad blemish or damage.

If it's just worn you could touch it up with some Cold Blue.

From what I can tell its mainly old surplus rifles along with newer deer hunting ones. The main issue with the picture is that it is too dark and that causes the dark wood of the rifles to blend in with the darkness.

On second thought is that you bane?

Dude. I own 83 guns, 57 of them milsurps.
Lurk some of the Milsurp threads, there are at least 3 or 4 guys that own more than me.

Close this thread, and start it again when you have more than 50 guns.
