I actually prefer the smaller Glocks as the hump on the end near the mag-well fits right into the curve around my thumb
I've got skeleton fingers so I can usually ger 2 1/2 fingers on most sub compacts.

Glock is out, can't find any Gen3 .45's and I don't want Gen4.

Seriously considering the XDM .45 5.25 edition.
Anyone have experience with them? I know nothing about the XD's, but the fit and finish seemed pretty nice at the gun store.

I'd consider the FNX 45 if it wasn't so pricey. My max out the door price is more like 600, tops.

I had a Glock 30. Didn't really rustle my jimmies. It's a good gun, but it's just unaesthetic and oddly proportioned. I traded on Armslist for a G21 and I'm happier with it just because of the looks. Something about having a full length grip and a 5" barrel.
But yeah Glock makes a solid fucking gun, the big frames fit big hands really naturally, and they will never fail you. As far as other .45s, I ain't got no advice but two thumbs up for Glock.

If you want a hammer fired gun get the FNX45 Tactical. STI 2011 if money doesn't matter. For striker fired my vote is for the Walther PPQ 45 hands down.

I got a usp and a glock 30 s both are great pistols just depends if u want a full size or something smaller
