One of those polymer EAA Witnesses could work. They're basically an Italian CZ75 clone and run under $300. I don't have one myself, but I've heard a lot of good about them.

Ruger 10/22. A police trade in Glock 17/19, M&P9 would be nice but they're in the +$350 range if and when you do find them.

I would rather get a good quality 10/22 or a mav 88 than some meh pistol like a canik any day of the week
