THIS!
>>32200796
Its a rip off.
Hand load and buy a muzzle brake and BOOM you've got the same power
.357 smeme is just a way to get CLOSE to 10mm specs in a 9/40 size gun. .357 smeme is kind of nice that it is bottle necked. However, since 10mm sized guns really aren't that much bigger there's no reason non-faggot white males can't handle them.
And yes, if you have a 10mm size gun you can go to 9x25, which is awesome and gives the bottle necked advantage, also.
>>32200840
I never did like having fingers, anyway.
Ever notice people who love .460R are never owners? It's shit compared to 9x25D.
>>32200796
But all you need is a conversion barrel in a 10mm glock brand glock to shoot 9x25

Secret service and highway patrol still use it, right?
>>32200796
.460 Rowland is really nice, but it's not a .357 caliber round.
>>32200885
All you need is a conversion barrel and recoil spring for .460.
>>32201254
Ok, I also have .357 sig glock 32.
When .38 Special was introduced it was considered to be a "hard hitting" pistol round.
Are shitposters in 100 years going to look back at .460 Rowland are the absolute bottom floor of acceptable self defense rounds?
>>32201617
Yes. I'm from the future
By then we'll have 11.9x29mm AUTO, a bottle-necked cartridge firing a 310 grain projectile at 2,500 FPS. I wouldn't trust my life to it, though. It's child's play.
>>32201446
the absolute madman!
>>32201617
In (((Current year))) + 100 we will have actual babby seeking assault clipazines with shoulder things that go up
>>32201617
That's what I was wondering. A lot of the self defense cartridges they used would be considered very "underpowered" by plenty of people today. They must've been effective enough for them to be as popular as they were. So are people now just looking for a one shot stopper without worrying about shot placement as much, or what?

No.
Bullet technology has changed so much what we considered anemic back then is now actually considered overkill now.
>you are now aware that .38spl and 9x19 are ballistically extremely similar
>you are now aware that .45LC and .44-40 are still commonly accepted deer/black bear calibers
The sad truth is, when you're stuck with LRN or LFP bullets, pretty much the ONLY way to get bigger wounds out of them is to drive them faster. A lead round nose .38 short colt meets FBI penetration requirements, but leaves a .38" hole with almost no temporary cavity because it doesn't do anything.
