Neat. How long until they do pic related to their new rice rocket? Looks like they have a couple QTs to exploit for said purposes.
>>
>>32190903
Goody goody gumdrops. Nice to see the Japs have finally regained their collective sense of self-preservation.
>>
Japan will probably end up using them in Kamikaze fashion after China has shot down all their support assets with their long rane AAMs and the F-35s cant get refueled or enjoy AWACS support anymore.
>>
>>32190903
>no ocean paint scheme
I heard Lockheed was working on stealthy paint that wasn't just shades of grey.
>>
>>32192395
Hilarious. China won't do anything of the sort if they want to remain a regional power. Japan and the USA are joined at the hip, fighting one is fighting both, at least in Asia. Pick a fight with the Nips and you get dick>>32192395
ed by Uncle Sam.

Never forget that we have two extra carriers; they're made out of dirt and they're called the United Kingdom and Japan.

by buying the F-35?

If anything, the Japanese just want to feel the pleasure of piloting burning planes once more.

http://m.aviationweek.com/defense/final-software-load-plagues-f-35-test-jets
>The final 3F software load will enable the full-up jets to deploy critical weapons such as the GBU-12 Paveway II laser-guided bomb, the GBU-31/32 Joint Direct Attack Munition, the AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile the AIM-9X Sidewinder missile and the main gun system.
>The Joint Program Office (JPO) is aiming to complete 3F DT by June 30, 2017, in time for the operational test (OT) team to begin testing the full-up jets

In case you didn't catch that, here it is again:

>Main gun
>June 2017

If you don't like that source, there's plenty more to choose from.

they probably want the japs to get rid of the SDF and immediately become a chinese vassal.

Continue developing the F-3.
>>
>>32192607
Kek, buying F-35 will make it EASIER for China to rekt the Japanese than if they continued with their own stealth fighter program.

The F-35 is compromised by extensive Chinese espionage.
>>
>>32192571
what a time to be alive. imagine such footage "leaking" to the media way back when the F-14 or F-15 were being developed. INCONCEIVABLE!
>>
>>32192629
How extensive are we talking?

Please back up any claims with sources.
>>
>>32192617
Yes, so that in 2027, they could have half of a high-lo combibation?

F-35 is both their gateway drug into 5th geberation fighters, and their defense against Grorious J-20 Brack Eagre.

Wow it's fucking nothing

So that's why they have had to rely on Russian engines for the last decade.

Not any longer.
>>
>>32191030
Probably the day they get a supply of RAM-compatible multicolor paint.

Like, everything related with its software and secure datalink/communications system. The J-20 now features similiar stealthy datalink antennae (MADL) like the F-35.

http://www.defensetech.org/2012/02/06/did-chinese-espionage-lead-to-f-35-delays/

>Chinese spies apparently hacked into secure conference calls and listened to meetings discussing the classified technologies aboard the jets. In particular, China may have stolen info about the F-35’s secure communications and antenna systems; leading to costly software rewrites and other redesigns to compromised parts of the plane.

Also, Radar, engine, IR-signatures and most probably RCS signatures as well:

http://securityaffairs.co/wordpress/32437/intelligence/china-stole-plans-f-35-aircraft.html

>According to Snowden, the US Intelligence was aware that Chinese cyber spies have stolen “many terabytes of data” about the design of Australia’s Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II JSF. The details of the operation are described in a set of top secret documents published by the Der Spiegel magazine.

>Chinese hackers have allegedly stolen as much as 50 terabytes of data, including the details of the fighter’s radar systems, engine schematics, “aft deck heating contour maps,” designs to cool exhaust gasses and the method the jet uses to track targets.

MADL isnt outdated, but actually an integral part of the F-35's ability of sharing data with offboard assets and satellites undetected.

And the APG-81 is also compromised. During the recent China Airshow, they have presented the KLJ-7A AESA which is basically their APG-81 copy.

translate this slant eyes
>>
>>32192856
The last sentence basically says that the KLJ-7A AESA is for the JF-17 fighter jet and has the same capabilities as the F-35's radar. EW capability, strong ECCM, multi-target air and ground target engagement at the same time, Synthetic Aperture Radar etc.

That red trim is dope.

chinks are good at making passable copies instead of doing anything original themselves

Just a reminder: Japan is still developing a stealth air superiority fighter in addition to their F-35 fleet. They want the F-35/F-22 dynamic that the US has.

The Chinese can't even manufactur the plans they stole.
They tried to copy the f135 buy wasn't even able to get the Vcat assembly to work.

It's not like 15 j-20 are even a threat anyways.

Da fuck are 15 chink planes gonna do against 187f22 and 200 f35(soon to be 2,300)
