In some states you can buy a handgun at 18 through private sales. In PA it doesn't look like you can since even private sales of handguns must go through an FFL. I might be wrong. You're going to have to ask one of your local gunshops. Your only alternative is a gift from a family member.

HK45ct is a masterpiece and so is the USP. I have a 45ct in babyshit brown and love it. I've never had a USP 45 but my USP tac 9mm is maybe the best pistol ive ever owned.

yes though you can buy one in a private sale. its not illegal though i will say that some people will be fags about it if you arent 21.. and by that I mean I see people on vaguntrader and shit saying that they require you showing them your id or cwp in order to buy it and as you know the cwp cant be had unless youre 21. Most people dont care though. I'm in VA and I had a pistol at 18.

It's legal to build those, since IIRC you just aren't allowed to go through an FFL, which is pretty much a ban on under-21 year old from getting handguns.

Remember that building either will be more expensive. And I'd suggest getting the Sig P228 parts kits soon, since there's only so many of them.

The Ares with the plastic grip? A few people have reported with issues with fitment, and one from Calguns had his broke when it fell on the carpet from his bed. While cool, I'd go with a straight aluminum or steel frame. The only exception would be Limited-10 but they do double stack 2011 frames, STI style.

Im pretty sure that pa state law prohibits you from owning a gandgin until you're 21.

In all honesty i dont know many 18 year olds who are mature enough to be allowed handguns. Though when I was 18 I would have argued differently.

If you cant get a regular gun you could always buy a steel framed black powder revolver in 45 then buy a conversion cylinder to shoot 45LC.

Capacity and powder charge will be limited but you'll have a capable defensive handgun

ive had a version of every HK handgun in either 9mm or .45 that they still make. I've had the sig p220,p226. I've owned the Glock 22, Glock 27, Glock 17, and Glock 19. I've owned a Les Baer 1911, a Wilson Combat CQB, a Springfield 1911 (Loaded or something I think it was called?). Ive also owned the CZ sp01 and CZ75 as well as two .357 s&w revolvers.. one was the 687 or something and I forgot the other. I've sold a lot of guns and currently I now own the HK45c, H45, USP9t, HK VP9, HK P30sk, and a G19.

and yes the HK USP is better than both the Wilson Combat and the Les Baer. The Les Baer fucked up the first time I ever shot it and I had to send it back and the Wilson Combat fucked up for me and failed to feed at what could have been a potentially really bad time for it to do that and i sold it the day after but thats a story for another day

Listen to this dude. Now from what i recall, you can purchase a handgun from a non-FFL seller, but it absolutely has to be transferred through the sheriffs office (at the very least, i dont recall if you can just get the transfer done at an FFL.)
