I drew on someone who was harassing my shooting group for an hour when he came up and started screaming in my face and shoving me.

A bit of background first, me and my friends have this shooting spot on public land that we've shot at regularly and safely for over a year. When we first found it we walked the entirety of it to look for trails and nothing, you would have to be really fucking stupid to be out there in our range while shots are going out.

Now, the spot itself is sorta hilly on the approach, and this is important to why I drew on him later

The dude drives up in a shitty truck and just stares at us for like fifteen minutes. Then we had a cold range and started loading mags and the dude started screaming at us for shooting here. He said people walk back there all the time. I told the guy we've been shooting here for a year and haven't seen anyone ever. We check the backstop every time to make sure there's no trails or shit. He doesn't like that so he keeps screaming at us and we start ignoring him.

Eventually while we're shooting he decides he's going to be a hardass and charge up the rocky slope to the shooting area, where I'm sitting down going through pictures I've taken. He walks up to me and starts screaming in my face so I tell him to leave. He shoves me and calls me a little punk and since I couldn't safely retreat up or down the hill without him being able to reach me I shoved him back and drew.

He fell the last five feet down the slope and talked shit all the way back to his truck. I would have called the cops but there's no reception where we were and by the time we got out into civilization it was like four hours later
