You can get pretty well trained it just depends on wether or not you will put in packets and actually talk to you leadership about sending you

i'm from mexico and live in a cartel infested zone, i have seen ex-US soldiers in the ranks of the local cartels, those i've seen were not hired with big money, they were just guys with american papers who served in the army and have family and live in the area. they're treated like every other hit-man and paid equal, the only bonus they have is that they have actual training compared to the other guys who are told to just shoot a tree on full auto over and over again, better chances of surviving and impress the bosses with those skills to climb up the ranks. the ones they truly hire for makeshift bootcamps and weapon courses with payments of up to $50,000 a week per instructor are Guatemalan kaibiles.

Those schools crank out specialists, not all around fire and manuver soldiers. So those special soldeirs are special at their mission. Remeber a year of a special forces soldiers training is learning a language. Not to mention parachuting scuba diving, radio operations. Medical training.
