Should I renew my NRA membership
Honestly, no, but that's just my opinion. The only reason they want to protect firearms rights for us is so they can keep making a buck from firearms sales.
That being said, although their reasoning is shitty they are keeping a lot of anti gun shit from passing, but they are fakely acting as if they care about us.
>>32176974
Nah, I joined because Hillary was going to win, but now that Republicans control everything, I don't see the point anymore.
Let cuck states be cucked.
>>32177016
While fuck you I live in a cucked state, you are not wrong in the objective resource allocation view. But we will have supreme court to rule on a lot of cuck state issues soon and lawsuits do not fund themselves so tossup I guess
No, they represent firearms manufacturers, not the user/citizen.
>>32177006
This.
They are the largest organization fighting for gun rights, but not because it's the right thing to do. I'm considering joining knowing this though. For whatever reason, at least they are fighting.
>>32176974
I want to renew it so they can bring the heat to California, NY, etc.
Especially California since they're going to start confiscating firearms.
>>32177101
They won't though. They know those battlegrounds are lost.
Why is there not a group for us that has us in mind?
>>32177101
It looks that way here in California, but there is still a lot f red. If we rid the state of either/both L.A. and San Fransisco, the state would look more like a swing state. I have family that would move out if they tried that.
Again, we need a group for us the owners.
>>32177042
I'm still a member, but the NRA can't help CA or NY, and the non-cucked states are pretty safe, now.
Unless something happens on Dec 19, I don't think I'll renew for the next few years.
>>32177141
>Again, we need a group for us the owners.
Gee, if only there was an association for the Gun Owners of America...
>>32177151
But how much pull do they have and are they cucked by the gun manufacturers?
>>32177119
I'm hoping some Californians won't comply or sue the state for infringing on their rights and have nra pro bono lawyers to represent them in court.
>the state took my gun for no reason
>the state infringed on my 2nd amendment rights
>have nra lawyer to bring the heat to California courts
>set precedent
But yeah nra lobbying in tbe state legislature probably won't work.
>>32177158
They'll have more pull if you join.
>>32177151
Oddly enough, never heard of them. Just looked it up. Looks good.
>>32177158
This. Do they get anything done?
>>32177163
Might just do that. Was thinking of the NRA, my dad's a member, but don't like the direction its taken over the years. If the American gun industry found it beneficial to ban certain weapons, the NRA would agree.
>>32176974
don't listen to the edgy faggots and shills.
NRA is a political and cultural influence if you ask me they do a damn good job at raising people from being antigun to progun and since we live in a country where people can vote your rights away the more proguns the better IMO
>>32177204
>they do a damn good job at raising people from being antigun to progun
Fuck no
I stopped renewing my membership a few years back when the NRA did absolutely fuck all and was dead silent when antigun laws were being passed in WA
They don't care about me or my rights, they only care about raking in money, pretending to care, and having the power to be a thorn in the side of the left. When push comes to shove they don't do shit.
>>32177208
ikr
I just got called a domestic terrorist on Twitter yesterday because I wasn't anti NRA
>>32177208
Yes they do ctr.
Goa is waste of money thank the NRA for your ar15 and Ak and mags more than ten rounds. Don't be an edgy fag.
>>32177228
No they don't.
They use fear-mongering to pressure gun owners into joining and donating, and do fuck-nada to convert anti-gun to pro-guns.
They primarily want the gun owners to join, not people to become gun owners.
>>32177246
I'll retract something, the NRA doesn't, but their representatives like the Gun Collective or Colion Noir probably do raise some people from being antigun to progun.
Probably.
>>32177151
You're the kind of person that voted Johnson when we were in an election that had SCOTUS on the line.
These disinfo threads should have stopped after Nov 8, but I guess money is still flowing into that basement office. Someone post the pasta we have for these NRA threads.
>>32176974
We have a stacked supreme court. There's no real need to renew, but there's no glaring reason not to either. It's a toss-up.
>>32177145
What happens on dec 19th?
>>32177258
>Someone post the pasta we have for these NRA threads.
I gotchu
>>32177295
For everyone's info this thread literally pops up every week, and it's in all probability made by the same troll
>>32176974
>all these people saying not to support the NRA
Really activates my almonds. Just support the NRA, membership fees are minimal, and they do a great deal to protect your second amendment rights. The meme that they stand up for gun companies is bullshit, and has been for a decade or more at this point.
>>32177281
Electoral college votes. Do you live under a rock?
>>32177307
It's propagated by a bunch of kiddos who were never even alive to see them in action during the 90's. None are even smart enough to know of the existence of the NRA-ILA, or of what they do.
>>32177281
Look up "electoral college"
If the NRA is so ineffectual then why are they even considered a threat by the anti gun lobby
How many times have you heard about the Brady campaign complain about the GOA or the JPFO, hmm?
>>32177305
>why did they fight the 94 AWB
Because it would be a huge loss of money. They care about money not rights, man
>>32177349
>a ban on guns that represented a small fraction of the owned firearms back then would have been a huge financial loss for the NRA
Bruh.
>>32177349
The NRA is directly responsible for making it illegal to have a gun owner registry in the US

GTFO you disinfo shill
>>32177151
Call me when they have a fraction of the influence, power, and money the NRA has, and anything close to the NRA-ILA. Until then, they remain the feel-good choice for hesitant gun owners who still march to the drum of the Democrat Party.
>>32177385
>I'll join when they're big enough!
Oh the irony
>>32177162
>>32177119
>>32177101
The only way to save Cali is to take their laws or laws like them Federal district courts or even SCOTUS.
Help is coming for our friends behind enemy lines they just need to hold out.
Support the NRA. Now is the time to boost their coffers, not drain them.
Remember that it wasn't long ago where in WA state Bloomberg and the Gates spent more money than the NRA had in their entire annual budget to pass an anti-gun initiative.
Stand And Fight!

>>32177006
>they only care about making money from firearm sales
The NRA isn't some for-profit racketeering scheme. They spent $50mil trying to defeat Hillary, knowing full well that a Trump victory would cause gun sales to plummet.
>>32177046
>believing liberal memes

Along with 99.9% of the world. Grow up. That's how life works.
>tfw got lifetime membership for $300 during sandy scare
I got a cool certificate and a card that usually gets me a discount at gun shows and a few ranges. American Rifleman is alright, every now and then they have a really cool article on something like Makarov collecting or MACVSOG guns. The massive gun/gear giveaways they have are cool, if you ever win.
I throw them $20 every couple/few months.
>>32177006
Hearing Protection Act, Fucker. Have you heard of it?
>>32176974
yes
>>32178937
the NRA-ILA do good shit.
lapierre and his cronies at the top of the heap however, they exist to get fat off industry kickbacks and have hurt the image and perception of gun owners just as bad as any libtard. they want to block imports from china and russia just as much as killary does.

>The only reason they want to protect firearms rights for us is so they can keep making a buck from firearms sales.
There is no better incentive to get anybody to do anything, other than the punishment of death, than the reward of money.
Do you think CEOs, stockholders, and boards of directors care about you? No. They care about your money. But, because they care about your money, they must care about what you want and attempt their best at fulfilling that want (if they care to stay in business).
There is no selflessness in business or government (or life, for that matter) and the quicker people realize this the quicker we can get the fuck over these stupid "altruistic butcher" arguments.
>>32180304
Why don't Norinco and Izhmash join the NRA?

WA resident here. BLOOMBERG AND GATES SPENT MORE MONEY IN WA THAN THE FEDERAL NRA ANNUAL BUDGET.
There was literally shitall they could do to stop the shithole laws coming in, and every year bloomberg and gates dump a spare 500k into their shill corps. All of this is available on the WA PDC site and the NRA annual reports.
The ONLY option is to fight back on multiple fronts, which means donating to the NRA AND fighting a grassroots battle.
>>32176974
I'm a member of the NRA. I appreciate what they do and I'll give them my modest donation in exchange for a membership. My car got broken into and my handgun got stolen, and I really appreciated having their free gun insurance when that happened. They'll hound you for extra donations, and I guess that's where they get the bulk of their funds, but I don't give anything extra because I'm poor. I donate an extra dollar or two here and there when I buy off of Brownell's or another site that gives me the option.
I think it's important that there be a big ass lobbying group that lets politicians know our voices are here. Money talks, and if nobody was spending any money on keeping our rights around then would anyone really care? I think not, and on that day we'll all be Californians.
>>32180994
>BLOOMBERG AND GATES SPENT MORE MONEY IN WA
You see, this should be illegal. It should be against the law for millionaires and billionaires to spend money to influence elections to subvert the constitution. It should be considered treason of the highest order.
>>32177214
It's not the NRA's job to single-handedly stop anti-gun legislation from passing. They are simply the financial vehicle. In cucked states like the shithole you reside in that is infested with Califailians and grabber politicians that will gladly outspend the NRA in every facet, there is no hope. You being mad at them and not your state shows you're already becoming a Liberal tool, without even realizing it.
>>32176974
