>single stacked 9mm kurz
Lets see those gay British spy guns anons!
I hate that you can find these in .22lr all day but a .380 in blue is a fucking unicorn. For <$1000 at least.
Well these three are the only attractive .380 spy guns I know about.
>P230/232
>PPK
>CZ82
Any other anons have something to add to the list?
>>32171925
Walther does their .380 PPK's and PPK/S's biannually and always hopes that its enough to cover for the whole year, which of course it isn't. It's why retail on the PP series is $550 and they sell for $650 new.
It's interesting to note that Walther has begun manufacturing .32 ACP magazines for the PP series again, and with a recent move to American manufacturing, its possible we'll see new, US PPK's soon enough in both original calibers.
>>32172017
ay boi
i want a ppk.
my kinda thread
>>32172098
Of course how could I forget the P38.
Guess I'll add the Cheetah too.
>>32172150
I like that gun... I like it a lot.
>>32172158
>>32172158
i have a few old berettas made in italy with no safeties. 25's and 32's, forgot the names

HsC is the most aesthetic nazi pistol imo

PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!

its late and theyre in the safe, keep the thread alive for tomorrow and ill show ye
>>32172304
Maybe, almost bed time. If you see another .380 thread pop up check it man.

Spy guns, eh?

didn't James Bond used .32 acp?

Why are all these guns discontinued?
>>32171912
>british
the P230, Mauser HSC, etc. are derivative of the Walther PP. Nothing British about it.
>>32172098
I'm still impressed with that P38k of yours. Literally the only non-factory -k I've ever seen that I liked.
>>32172236
>>32172248
I REALLY gotta get a P5 for summer carry. I just wish they had an open slide like the P38/P1. Other than that, I absolutely adore the things.
>>32172158
The .380 Cheetah are gr8 m80
The 84 is even double-stacked, 13+1
>>32175849
I think it became James Bond's go-to choice in the novels eventually, and a fair few were sold to the FBI and CIA, in it's day, it would probably be one of the very best compacts you could carry.
>>32171925
TFW I bought a blued .380 made in 78 for 425 two years ago.
>>32171971
>>32172017
>CZ82
It's the only milsurp pistol that comes to mind when I think of the word, hideous. I understand enjoying it for it's function, but what about that thin limp dicked derpy slide do you actually think is aesthetically pleasing? Especially when compared to the other pistols in this thread. Or were you being sarcastic, and I just missed it?
>>32172017
What are your thoughts on the Bersa Thunder?
>>32176576
He means guns that would be carried by a fictional british spy, aka james bond type of dude.
A stylish pocket pistol basically.
>>32176884
Junk. Nice pistol and all but there is classier cooler nicer option in the same style.
>>32176485
>>32176553
Fucking sex appeal man. Nuce collection anon.
>>32176884
They're pretty solid compact carry guns. Does some things better than the PP/K
How about something from the other side of the Iron Curtain?
>>32176955
thanks my dude, still dont have a ppk though so i feel very incomplete.
So are any of these guns in current production besides the PPK?
And if I wanted to get a PPK, do I get an Interarms, S&W, or Walther?
>>32177388
ínterarms
Does this count?
Not 9mm Kurz, but a PP derivative and decent choice for Czech Ministry of Interior controlled police, as well as poorfags everywhere.
>>32177459
Any particular reason? I'm looking on gunbroker and there are some pretty worn models for about tree fiddy.
>>32175849
Does anyone know of a modern reproduction of >pic related?
>>32177841
Thats actually pretty sexy, I like your tastes anon.
>>32178080
Legit walther PPKs havent been made in a long time and are collectors pieces that you don't want to shoot much. Interarms made a good licensed version of it, the S&W versions suck
>>32178266
They're cheap too. $190 at bud's w/magazine.
Can probably find one cheaper somewhere else.
>>32178325
Thats nuts. Great throwaway haha. I carry my P230 mostly, in the winter I carry my Beretta for "Muh John MClain" value kek.
>>32178403
P230 is definitely on my collection list. That and a proper PPK.
>>32178568
Oh I gave up tryna find a PPK a while ago, let alone a blue PPK/S (not in .22 fucking LR). I like the p230, girlfriend loves it too so I'll get another for her to carry soon as shes 21.
will Walther ever make a double stack PPK?
>>32178825
Doubt it, but there is the Bersa thunder combat thingy that is essentially a 15+1 double stack PPK in .380.
>>32177841
I'd remove that importer stamp if I was you. Otherwise, that thing looks pretty cool. I know nothing about them.
>>32178292
>Legit walther PPKs havent been made in a long time and are collectors pieces that you don't want to shoot much.
That's bad news for my Walther PPK because I use it as my carry gun. It can rest when I do.
>>32180054
>I'd remove that importer stamp if I was you.
Pretty sure that's illegal senpai.
walther is unequvivically the "spy gun". Just like the m1911 is the gangster/soldier gun, or the glock is the cop gun
this is there biggest selling point. that and nazis
Fuck .380
I would own a PPK in 9x19 if they made it
>>32176718
WTF are you me? I bought this late 70's Interarms import for ~$400 about two years ago.
>>32181664
except for the ppq which is the "airsoft gun"
>>32180054
It bugs me, but that's probably more trouble than it is worth.
>>32181540
I don' think it would be. As long as the serial number is in place I think you can do (cosmetically) whatever to the gun.
>>32172098
Who did the conversion for you, looking to do the same to mine.
>>32171925

>>32184905
No, .25 he used a jetfire.
How do I buy a used gun? In the past I have always bought NIB (nine so far), and mostly all of them were bought online. After seeing a few threads like these, I really want a PPK/S. How should I proceed? Any advice would be appreciated.
>>32187182
Check sites like Gun Broker, Guns America, Armslist, etc.
Win an auction or agree to whatever price. You send money, they send gun to FFL, you pick up gun from FFL.
Big sites like Bud's and many, many others also have used guns for sale, but rare/desirable stuff will likely get picked up very quickly from these sites because they are so visible.
For something like a german PPK/S, you're probably not going to find that on a big site. There are many clones of that gun that are available, and there are U.S. made Smith and Wesson/Walther versions you can buy new i believe.
>>32187065
He used a Beretta 418 "Bantam", in .25ACP
A kind of shitty and nignog one too, Flemming described it as having a "sawed off barrel" (god knows if it was recrowned or not), and with the grips taken off.
James Bond's taste in guns improved a lot as the books went, eventually moving up to a an ASP custom gun in the later novels (a Smith & Wesson M39 heavily customized by a skilled smith to be the best concealable pistol possible)
>>32177841
Brand or a name so I can look it up?
>>32184892
Derrick Stubbs, good friend and gunsmith. Last I heard he was working in a WWII museum as a proctor.
Nathaniel Furbee is the other man I'd trust with it, he worked under Derrick as an apprentice for three or so years. Works for Dobransky Firearms, LLC.
>>32187849
It's a CZ 70.
Also known as a VZ 70.
It is the updated (1970-1982) version of CZ's VZ 50 pistol (1950-1970 i believe).
Both guns are very similar.
Here's one from the same surplus batch I bought mine from.
https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411556258/Used+Interarms+Surplus+CZ+70+32acp+8%2B1+Fair
The date of manufacture is stamped on the slide (mine is 1973 as you can see in the pictures above).
>>32187879
Do they keep barrelsh/slides on hand? I'm about to get a P1 dirt cheap and I figure I'll just buy a whole new top for it.
>>32171912
>9mm Kurz
Isn't that like .380 ACP?
>>32187885
I pulled my head out of my ass and figured it out but thanks for all the extra info and link.
>>32187897
No, there's no way they could afford that. I thought about getting another upper myself, but at this point I'm glad the converted upper matches and I can just buy a regular one down the road. You can always buy stripped slides on ebay for like $20 though if that's your thing.
>>32187908
Same thing.
>>32187885
I hit the buy button so fast.
>>32187965
They are a good value for sure.
Mine feeds PPU and Magtech Hollowpoints too, which is surprising for an old gun like this (i've had 2 hangups in 500 rounds).
Ball ammo feeds perfectly. The gun I got has definitely not been fired a lot. It was dirty inside though. Bore and everything is perfect after a good cleaning.
It's probably been sitting around some warehouse for the past 25 years or so, lol.
>>32188013
Well thanks man this has been a great find
>>32188013
>Magtech
>>32188113
lol it's filthy but also cheap and reliable.
>>32188147
Yeah but it supports their ammunition monopoly in Brazil, MagTech is the only brand available there.

>>32191804

>>32191767

>>32191822
Those papers are service records. The award listed on that page is the War Merit Cross with Swords - which is the medal and ribbon I included in the photo. I have too many of these old things to frame them, they're in a binder in document protectors along with my WWI and WWII photographs.
>>32191846
They are noticeably softer-shooting and lighter than typical .32's - including the Walther PP which is one of the nicest. Tiny sights, though.
I carry the Walther PPK on the rare occasion that my P-01 is just too large.

I can't recall for that particular set as it wasn't anything particularly unique. The Soldbuchs, Wehrpaß'es and award documents are more valuable. I don't think I have any photos taken with those, though.
While getting off the topic of pocket autos, I suppose the P.08 is acceptable since a P.38 was already posted. These documents are easier to read than the handwritten ones I put in the HSc photo.

I haven't taken many new ones in a while so I'm running low on nice pocket auto photos.
A bit big for a 'pocket auto' but it is a single stack and commonly found in .380. Here's a Husqvarna m/07 - the Swedish-made version of the FN 1903 Grand Modéle. It's chambered in 9x20 Browning Long but a great many were converted to 9x17 Browning Short (.380 ACP) when they were imported into the US.

Yeah, 13+1rds, with Extreme Penetrators, it's a little devil of a compact, easy to handle too, because the weight helps with what little recoil .380 has.
