Made by Walther in 1944.

You might be able to get $350 for it on gunbroker; but seriously, you'd sell you great-granddad's bring back for that?
>son, I are disappoint
>>32162178
>$350
i was thinking double that
>>32162178
Maybe he just wants to know what his collectable is worth dick for brains
>>32161810
If the numbers are all matching, and the bore is really good you could sell it for 800-1000 bucks.
>>32162178
Even post war P1's are nearly past that price.
>>32163957
Nah, it's definitely three fiddy.
>>32164203
Hey hold on there buddy,I know a guy who's an expert on these things
>>32161810
Whatever you do, DON'T try to "fix" ang "problems". That's a sire-fire way to destroy and value the thing has.
Also, keep it, your granddad risked his life for freedom, don't sell his rewards.

I frequently see P1 pistols at $300, sometimes less.
>>32161810
Generally P1 mags are going for 25-30 nowadays, but if they are originally WW2 mags with Nazi stamps they could go 75-150+ depending on markings.
The gun itself, without having it in my hands to look for it, $600-1000.
>>32161810
a friend of mine just got one for $500, which is a steal, typically a P38 will go for between $700 to $900. still you would be a fool to sell your Grandfathers war trophy.

that isn't a P1 though.

Thanks guys.
My dealer is open to trades and I wanted to know a ballpark of what it's worth so I don't get ripped off.
I don't mean to cause any offense, but I'm really not a gun guy and I frankly don't know what I would do with this pistol. It will end up with someone who appreciates guns more than I do so don't fret about it.
>>32165350
I wish so hard I could buy that from u. Dealers offer pennies on the dollar when they buy. You're way better off going through gun broker or armslist
>>32165350
Just throwing this out there, you don't have to be a 'gun guy' to appreciate something like that. Its a relic from a time when our world was upside down, and your grandfather was one of the people who worked to set it right. All I'm saying is really think about it before parting with it is all.
>>32161810
I got my Spreewerk P-38 for $700.
Numbers matching, non-import (bring back) with 1, P1 mag.

Stupid piece of shit.
You still believe muh ebil Nazi shit?
6 billion Jews were gassed goyim!

at best a dealer will give you fifty cents on to the dollar, unless you consign it in which case you might get 3/4 of the value. as far as trades go you want to avoid a glock as a trade just buy one outright they typiclly sell for about $400 or less used.
>>32161810
Wish I had a fucking grandpa to go fishing or hunting with let alone give me guns, and here I see faggot after faggot trying to pawn of grandpas guns. Makes me fucking sad.
>>32165350
You may not be interested in it, but is there anyone in your family who is?
>>32165444
Oy vey
>>32165713
Yeah this. Give it to a cousin or someone who values it
>>32165444
>pussyhurt wehraboo STILL crying about being vilified
Maybe they shouldn't have been so shit at war, then maybe that wouldn't have happened.
>muh hurtlur dindu nuffin, he a good boi
>>32165713
This is another option to consider, you might not get any money out of it, but it would make for a very nice gift, which means a lot of goodwill between you and this other person, what goes around comes around, so to say.
On the other hand, selling it to a store, which either keeps it, or sells it to someone who really wants a gun like this, would probably have a similar outcome.
>>32165350
you`re totally right, sell to somone who really like`s the gun`s history. Good luck
>>32165117
apparently your reading comprehension is shit, as I said they are nearly passed 350. Yes you can still find the occasional one below or at the price, but not often.
>>32165350
>but I'm really not a gun guy and I frankly don't know what I would do with this pistol.
Cherish as a symbol of family history instead of pawning it for pocket change?
>>32161810
If you ever get rid of that thing you are a fucking grade-A retard, regardless of whether you like guns or not
>>32165444
>We've gotten to the point where I can't tell if this is /pol/ or ironic /pol/
Damn OP, I'd cherish the fuck out of a war bring back, especially one that was an heirloom. My grandfather already pissed away anything he inherited, so fat chance of that happening. I'd say keep it, it will only increase in value, so if you ever decide you really don't want it, you can always sell it later. Maybe the person you would give it to isn't around yet, no need to be hasty.
>>32161810
Absolutely agree with this guy >>32166966 OP. Sure a quick $1000 sounds nice now, but that gun should mean a lot more for sentimental reasons.
