Northwestern Montana resident here, job requires me to be out in the weather in all seasons.

Ill say hands down we have the most beautiful and most variety when i comes to landscape, everything from glaciers to hot springs to rocky desert.

Ive camped on mountainpeaks in the summer with nothing but a light bedroll, my PU Mosin and the clothes on my back, watched the sunset and had the milky way roll above me, and ive had to hike the entire length of a grain train at night in -40f with a wind that drove it past -70. Thats the kind of cold where you dont think you'll every be properly warm again.

Ive panned gold, been, participated in sweat lodges and powows, hunted everything from grouse to mountainlion, rafted the wild mile into flathead lake and skied and snowmobiled the back country, snowshoed up the northfork and watched and listened to a whole mountainside come loose in an avalanche on the other side of the valley.
